Social smoker?....

...A fairly large percentage of women's profiles here on CS and elsewhere have this entry, or something similar. Perhaps men as well. But just what does it really mean? Actually, as with much here, it's all info grist for the vetting mill. Rarely, when someone is willing to discuss what it means for them (rare---VERY rare), it devolves into what every cop or addictions counselor has heard in answer to the question, "how many beers have you had today?" So it may combine lots of character characteristics, many we wouldn't want for a healthful and grounded committed relationship. Denial, misleading, addictive personality, weakness, future poor health, and so on. Not to mention how highly cigarette smoking these days correlates with lower socioeconomic status, and other markers of "would you really want them living next door?" I know this sounds harsh, but is it basically all about honesty, which incidentally, is one of the most sought after expressed preferences by women in search of men. Social smoker. Almost separated. Partially pregnant. Almost avoided jail time. Only partially living in mom's garage. Sure.

That goes along with social drinker.
Whatever I do, I'm honest about it. I see no point wasting anyone's time.
Yeah I have wondered about the social smokers too. When I smoked it was an every day thing. If anything smoking is anti-social.

I am also amazed at how many women in their mid to late fifties were never married and still have children living with them. dunno
When it comes to vices, I take what they say and multiply by 100. Too many people don't like to admit weaknesses.
Yep, PF. My number is closer to 1000.
I'm currently averaging about two a week (trying to quit) and for me, it's more of a private affair accompanied by shame and self-loathing.
My ex was a social smoker.
He never wanted or needed a smoke until you put a pint in his hand. The two had to go together. Also a guy I knew was just the same , as soon as he was out with friends having a drink he had to smoke x
Other social smokers are the ones who don't normally have any cigarettes on them but if you offer them one of yours..the will light up xx
The social smokers are probably talking about smoking pot. professor
I was a social smoker. I would never smoke at home or around anyone my fathers age yet when I would go out on weekends with my friends we would smoke. I dont smoke at all now.

Are his paps particularly pointy?wow
You meet more people now that they make you smoke outside. Perhaps social smoker is a way of saying you like people - you’re non-uptight - without the image of squalor.
Love to be the object of delightful near cat fights, even if only imagined, here in pointy pap Grousetown. VERY pointy. Tata, ladies.
And, CC. Used to be in that part of the East, family/professional standing guided parents in picking spouses for their kids. These days, not so much, as kids are using more of their own factors in their own choices. The days of the 5 chicken/2 goat reversed dowry may be gone for good. Goddess help us all.
