help with choosing cameras
Hi--I'm taking a great vacation soon and my old camera is shot.I like a digital and this was about 8 pixels(old huh). I want something compact. Do the point and shoot have zoom and width included? I'm not crazy about manual settings and fumbling around with zoom lens, and flash. So, I would like all of that
built in and I know there are more pixels, so that's ok, but I need advice as I also have a dear friend dying of colon cancer and I would like to have pictures of him now, and so do our friends....I hope that doesn't sound morbid, but we all love him
dearly and can't believe Mr. Network is going away...

I recently got myself a Canon IXUS 100IS ( 12 Mega pixel )
It is very compact and robust ( 85 x 55 x 18 mm ) and does everything, video, sound the lot. Fits into a pocket very easily so you don't look like a tourist walking about with something big and steelable around your neck ! Hope this helps, check it out on the web, better deals online I think.
Sorry to here about your friend :(
check it out at Best-Buy web site, sorry about your friend
for cameras on the side. I work on a sun workstation every day, well now we're pc, but I've not had a computer all these years, and it never ceases to amaze me the more I learn how to communicate and the responses I get back..thank you!
