When you set up a blog it asks you if you want comments or not. Anyway you are too much of a lady to do that to anyone...
But that's blocking EVERYBODY and not one blogger in particular.
As it happens, I did disallow comments after one of my blogs had run its course.
Even ladies do that!
I can vouch for Snowy as I know who he is and his photo used to be there ....some time ago.
As for managing several accounts...ummm...I personally think that one is about his limit.
At least that's what my instincts tell me..

You are also fundamentally wrong regarding blogs meant to be an open forum.
But you are right that it usually is that way regardless; open for discussion to some degree.
Blogs are first and foremost a chance for the blog poster to flag his view.
If a discussion follows it should in my view be mastered/moderated by the O.P.
Totally up to the Blog maker to remove comments thus keep the blog on the track he/she prefer.
If you want a 100% free float of viewpoints at any given moment use the Forums for that.

Why would anyone want more than one profile anyway? surely one is enough to make one's point?
What's really ironic is when someone bans you from their blog and then goes and comments on your own blog!!!!! I guess you have to have a few brain cells to understand irony, not everyone gets it!
