Men is this true?

I was looking for a good novel to read in a Book Sale when a book entitled "Understanding the Man in Your Life" by H.N. Wright caught my attention..having failed twice in a relationship i came to think that maybe it failed because i really don't understand men..I grow up without a father as he died when i was five..there are two men in my family but they're distant.

Just wanted to share a few thoughts from the book about men..

Men are raised to take charge
but they cannot all be their own bosses.
Men are raised to be primary providers,
but they find they are now living during inflation and recession.
Men are raised to focus on achievement,
but success usually a momentary experience.
Men are raised to stand on their own,
but they need support systems.
Men are raised to express "strong" emotions,
but they often feel "weak" ones like fear and sadness too.
Men are raised to be team players,
but it's often "every man for himself."
Men are raised to be Daddy's Big Boy,
but expected to remain Mommy's Little Man.
Men are raised to be independent,
but urged to bond and nest.
Men are raised to follow their dreams,
but required to be realistic about security.

Women bend but men break...

Wow! Very interesting but I find it to also be very true. There are a few good men out there, I know. I just haven't found him yet. Most of them are either controlling or physically abusive. I am in strong agreement that this is engrained in a man's brain from birth and will probably never change.

I thank you for blogging this as I am going to buy the book and read it. I don't have a man in my life (duh - I wouldn't be on this site if I did. LOL) right now, but want the next relationship I have to last.
I think most of these statements are the authors opinions,
Which they are allowed to have,But all men are different. So while some of these might apply to some guys,Not everybody
will fit into these stereotypical roles.Im sure somewhere theres a book with the same type of list about women and how they are too.I doubt anyone can describe the human condition in a way that encompasses all men or all women fully and completely
in so few general sentences...I will never understand all women.
I dont believe anyone will ever understand all guys. When you stop trying you dont care anymore... drinking
true and false i think the statements should be used as a understanding tool and not as a written law . i guess i am trying to say is keep these points in mind but don't expect them to br true of everyone that you meet .
Is it taken from a last century book ?

laugh
@whovian

WHY? IT DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU ANYMORE? So can you describe what men is?

dunno not sure, but thinking, most ppl..men and women based on their family structure/dynamics/culture and upbringing dictates who they become as individualz and how they react and respond to life....dunno

No, it is not true. If there was no man on Earth we all would live in caves now. A man is a creator, a woman is a helper to him. You cannot change this even with all your will. Women very good at the job they do and in many cases even smarter than men do but they have no ability to create things. Almost all discoveries were made by men. Almost all scientists were men. All religion leaders were men. You are talking about money. Money have nothing to do with men, with real men I mean. But many men stepped away from their real purpose of life and started think about money.
Suocndy, I sort of agree with you....

Heard it put this way. Women are the ocean, men are the boat. The power is all in the ocean, but if you want to get from one side to the other, a boat comes in handy. wave
Its a wonder more men are not crazy this seems like raised one way but not taught to react to how men really are so confusing who wrote this dunno confused
