Finding a bloke in the EU or the UK; CS market shares

In an area where Connecting Singles is firmly anchored, it may be easier to find a decent match and a date if it works out. Men outnumber women among CS members. For both gender you may find a lot of inactive members. That narrows down your choice, but also the 'competition'.

I have checked the number of male CS members between 40 and 50 in different countries in the EU and in the UK. Ladies, here we go.

In my native Belgium you find 1112 men in the target age range for a total population (both gender all ages) of 11.6 Million. (Those 1112 men don't include me, since I 'm way over 50.)

In the Netherlands, CS counts 923 men in the target range for a population of 17.5 M.

In France you find that same number of 923 men, yet more thinly spread among a total population of 67.9 M.

In Germany CS counts 1499 men aged 40 to 50 range among a population of 84.3 M.

In Sweden CS counts 1024 men in the target age range for a population of 10.4 M.

Italy counts 1130 male CS members in that age range for a population of 58.9 M.

In Spain you may find 930 men in the target age range for a population of 47.6 M.

In the UK you find 6224 blokes between 40 and 50 for a population of 67.3 M. Greater London and Northern Ireland are slightly overrepresented.

That brings us seamlessly to the Irish Republic where we find 5716 blokes between 40 and 50 for a total population just north of 5 M. That dwarfs the UK market share and it comes even close in absolute numbers.

Some more small EU member states now: Malta is topping the CS market share billboard with 1775 male members in the target age range for a population of barely 518.500.
No more chance for Cyprus to do better. But with a total number of 680 CS men between 40 and 50 for a population of 1.25 M, their CS market share nevertheless eclipses that of the UK.
Forget about Luxemburg where CS narrowed down your choice to only 78 men for a population of 640.000.
