How do one go about getting insurance as a visitor in America...
Ann, I was out on appointments all day. In a quick Yahoo search, I found this link:
I'll check back after dinner and see if any of those companies offer what you are looking for.
You're probably offline for the night.
I clicked on the top 2 selections that were based on best overall and best for cost.
Open the drop-down for each and it briefly explains the Pros & Cons of these policies.
For example: Patriot America Lite doesn't cover pre-existing medical conditions.
There's too much to cover in a blog comment and you could easily spend an hour or so reading through to research a good company. Click the selection Get A Quote for each is what you are really after to see what (if any) are affordable.
Hopefully this information points you (and your children) in the right direction.
Chat gave you information about insurances, but if your family is here on a working visa they can get discount/free medical care.
glad you are yours are sorted.
Hope the beer went down well lol
Make sure they read the small print...lots of things not to do or won't cover...including transport...
When I go on trips...I understand that if I am injured while away...it means I go back home...if medically stable...
