Shall we cheese
One of most loved and expensive French cheese is the le bleu. Le Roquefort or La fourme d’Ambert for example are reaching something like 30€/kg.So when US & WTO decided restrain it, it was lived as personnal offense. José Bové defended it to the point to pass illegally du Roquefort on the plane and arriving in US started free distribution there. For those that ignore who is José Bové, try imagine kind of Robin Hood or Ned Lud, spending his time between tv shows and street demonstrations in the hope to convince people that they need eat healthy.
French remain deeply attached to their national proud (i.e. le fromage dans tous ses états).
And here in Bg somewhere high in mountains where air is sweet like honey and dogs and cats never skinny, some peaceful people working hard produce tasty things, that their government forbid them to sell, because “not healthy”
The poor major of this village tried desperately defending it, but it seems that this Braveheart is less convincing than José Bové. His moustache not big enough… Our Bg Don Quijote cannot struggle against some mind walls.
Meanwhile, the controversed cheese was exported for an Italian competition.
Italians offered 80€ for one kilogram of this cheese…
Seems therefore that peope here want be proud and stick only to the 2 really valuable things they have : Hristo Stoichkov and AEZ Kozlodui.
Both belonging to first stage of the Mesozoic. About 65 million years may be?...
