Why does it always show me as being online?

Does anyone know whether everyone listed as being online are really online? Even when I'm logged off and I search for my username without logging on it shows me as being online.confused

I don't now but it happened to me once, here in CS. I was logged off and went to bed for the night. A nice guy who I'd been emailing with in here, IM with another site, and even talking on the phone, saw that it said I was logged into CS.

When I checked my CS email in the morning, there were about ten messages to me from him, first saying, hello??? are you here?
Then, I see you are online, why won't you answer me, and it went on to accusing me of deliberately ignoring him.

Needless to say, things did not progress, it goes back to finding out how possessive some guys can be.

i was online for 3weeks once on C/S and i was'nt even in the same Country as my Laptop

CS says I am online a lot but the truth is I have walked away from the computer and just didn't log out. laugh
