profile settings that don't filter

Why is it that we set parameters for our searches such as countries age etc. And u still get people from the places u omit? i'm searching for ages 38-55 yet someone of 67yrs old is looking at the profile and some from as far as india, syria etc.

I believe they can search your profile, but they cannot contact you. After all there is no harm in looking.
