valentine's day

okay...what's the date today? right! it's the 25th of February! so my question is why is valentine's day still being shoved in my face?? i mean it's nauseating enough when the flowers and the chocolates and the oh-so-lovey dovey cards with their messages sweet enough to give you diabetes, turn up everywhere you look when valentine's day is around the bend (read 3 bloody weeks away!!) but when the day is gone why are its remnants still here to bug me?

and NO i'm not bitter! i just hate commercial holidays with hollow sentiments that make you spend money you don't have!
