country living

country living yes thats me,I have enough land surrounding my home and outbuildings to give
me some real privatcy as I have thousands of pine trees and undergrowth offers that on all
sides of course except the entryway drive off the road.
I raise chickens just for pets use to younger eat eggs but I guess age perhaps softened my
cast iron stomach or something my ducks are more appealing as they usually bath in the water
I keep maintained for them.and duck eggs are very tasty.I have to keep a outside dog out
side 24/7 bears up here wolves and cougars which Ive seen a few years ago besides for added
security of my place.
its nice to have so much land I have many gardens loaded this year huge pumpkins now 30-40
ibs'ers alot of sweet corn that will be ready in a few more weeks and its the end of august
(2011)tomatos and more.
I installed a wood stove last yr and I have such a supply of live tress my be fifteen or more
so I cut them down to save on fuel costs this yr I didnt bother too hot and I wasnt feeling
so well but I still have a few left from last season.
yes I really enjoy country living I have my days, I have to drive many miles to any major
stores many many miles but usually it gives me a break away from home and relaxes me as I
always enjoyed driving.fishing all I had to do is walk a block or so and theres a huge lake
and this is minnesota there everywhere alot of good walleye area I found close to my home
but I dont fish much anymore very rarely. I plann on bagging a white tail deer this
season (bow hunting)on my property ones getting brave keeps very close to my home and my
dogs all go off as I have a enclosed fenced in area for them for that reason I dont have to
watch them now.it also has been munching on my garden and flowersand they bring all the bugs
out of my woods and there deer tick end up on my pets. venison tastes rather good and I plan
on giving my dogs there bones and left overs they deserve it too.
I have many squrrels and chimp monks around I dont mind the squrrels but the chimp monks
they run right in my rear garage while Im in it and hide to raid the bird and dog feed I
store in it.
