climate change

this global warming is taking bits and bits of our tiny islands away...

each day abit of our land were taken by the sea, the small nations are shouting at the top their voices to their big brothers and sisters to help.

i do not think positive stuff will work..the global warming is taking its course so as the sea is eating bits and bits of the small fragile islands slowing but powerful.

@ frank

you must be right!! who knows ...only the devil knows
So is your belief that we are causing the climate change by our actions, or is it climate change as the world has seen over and over? confused
@bsooner

i do not blame any developed nation on this issue...and i do not want to blame anyone.

but just want to inform my CS friends the real issue here.

I believe in the the song sang by Michael Jackson and other popular singers

lets make the world a better place to for you and me
@pacificfans: That's another proof that the global warming is a real thing ..

Just curious confused >> how did you find out that the sea is taking bits of the islands? I thought it would take more time till it be noticed?
I understand you wanting to point out what is going on. I was not trying to be defensive or confrontational by my question either, simply asking your opinion. I wasn't completely sure you the purpose of your blog either, now I understand. Thanks for the information. cheers

@africa
global warming is real and that was the main issue been talked about in Denmark.

what i meant by the bits and bits is each day the sea washes bits and bits and by the end of the year there is huge part of the land gone

@ bsooner

my opinion is nothing all i have in mind is am concerned that such is happening in our world.

@ virgosingle

i think in the Solomons it will be take many years before i can move...new zealand is already flooded with pacific islanders i better built my raft and float lol lol

unlike my good neighbours from kiribati and tuvalu they are the most affected.

@ particoler and frank

what ever what ever...bla..bla..bla...you complete the sentence
Hi Pacificfans! hug

Well, I'm sure the global warming has caused many negative impact, not only in your tiny islands and I know how it feels to you and the people there. We also noticed here in Indonesia that the sea water increased day by day and it concern us mostly if raining season. We got flood often recent here and it must be so scary for a tiny island.

I learned to do some simple things to help reduce the global warming such as being Vegetarian, I use less tissues, papers, plastics, and use water and electricity properly. I hope with this little effort somehow can give help to reduce the global warming. It concern me very much. I guess you also can do it. It does help {smile}

Summer
hey summer

how are you??? how was your trip???

i will be heading off to fiji in few weeks time to attend a seminar and my friends there cant wait to see me ...i was thinking sounds fantastic like your trip...

yeah your idea about this global warming is excellent i will definately be doing that.

i was lucky enough that i came from a province in the solomon that is les populated. and i think am blessed cos you can enjoy the big land just with very few people
I'm doing fine here, Pacific, and will more fine if I just remember to bring my umbrella with me everyday. laugh We get heavy rain here everyday in afternoon and real hot sunshine in noon. Extreme weather here. I hope you there have a better one.

I try to plan some other trip next year but I only have 12 days each year for work leaving permit and I already plan to take 7 days for my trip to Malaysia and Singapore next year. I can't have the trip this year since my work will begin to peak this end of October to June next year. Now I'm saving for next trip {smile}

Fiji sounds great! I hope you enjoy the trip and don't forget to share me your fun experience in fiji. comfort

Big hugs,
Summer
WHAT !!! No time off for good behavior...crying handshake cheers
hey summer

i know you will enjoy your trip to Malaysia and Singapore.. I stop over in both places on my return from china last year..Its boring in the airport , i just can imgine how it will be like visiting the cities and other interesting sites.you will enjoy it

i have 42 days annual leave so was thinking of travelling to Canberra (aussie) for couple of weeks and back to the solomons and spend the remaining ones in the village.

Fiji trip i do not think it will be that enjoyable cos it is work related and just imagine you have to do many presentations.

but will see what fiji has to offer
@particolor

you just sooooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooood

you are fine...
wow, 42 days leave? that's more than one month. What kind of job is it? lol! Btw, I have ever been in Malaysia and never to Singapore for tourism places now I want to go to more heritage sites such as Unesco heritage. I got the cheaper tickets and I guess I will look for chances for another destinations also. Maybe I can visit Australia? Who knows. haha..

Canberra sounds fun. Have you ever in Sydney? I guess lots of people there and some friends and they said the air is very clean and fresh there {smile}

Summer
@summer

i have never been to Aussie.....

was thinking of attending this official opening of the Chancery at the Solomon Island High Commision,,,but this Fiji trip too bad
haha. I planed that too to visit China so now I'm learning a little bit Chinese language. No improvement since the last month and I stopped learn to focus to my college now. I watched TV and learned to hear the conversation. Ni hao ma! Xie-xie! and learn how to ask direction to people. I don't have someone to practice. I can speak and hear simple but I guess have to prepare more to visit China without tour and also it must need more days to travel. Sounds very nice isn't it? hmm.. now I can't keep my feet calm. laugh

Lucky you!

hug
Summer
the pacific islands of volcanic origin usually sink after the volcanic activity stops. so u need a checklist of what happens.
the whole earth would be covered by a deep sea if the surface would be flat and even.
Sydney has 1.8 million people, so it's a pretty big city.
