Dating inside my own culture....Samoan

No I would never ever want to date another samoan for as long as I live..... I know this sounds offensive but I have my own reasons for this. Cos with samoans it seems the faster you earn money the faster the "faalavelaves" come e.g. weddings , funerals, regisration of land in islands, sending money to the family high chief, sending a container filled with furniture..... Actually my mind boggles at the amount of money I have had to give over the years and no I ain't giving no one any more money gosh I'm not even that rich..... So no offence to any other "Sa" guys out there but this is my choice and this is what I decided. Damn it I don't even have samoan blood in me!!!

Hi short,
I have the same problem as you do but I pretty much know where to draw the line. The only person that I would give money to are my parents (not that they ask for it) - and that is only on special ocassion - like mother's day or father's day, birthdays, etc. ANother one is when my brother or sister had to get married, we all have to contribute X amount per head as members of the family. This one I find neat and interesting and I don't mind doing. The remaining...it all a NO...
Are you Samoan by birth? JUst curious....
