The meaning of honesty – nothing but the truth?

I f you look at the profiles of men and women, most of them claim to be honest and look for someone that’s honest too.

As for me honesty means to tell nothing but the truth. Even if it sometimes may be not what the other expects or wants to hear. Maybe I’m too straight cause I don’t like lies or liars at all. I prefer to hear the truth instead of white, colored or beautiful lies. Sure, sometimes the truth hurts and any lie may sound better. But no matter how bitter the truth is then you know what you need to know.

So why act so many people like a prima donna if you tell just the truth???

dunno confused

Some just can't handle the truth, whether it be telling it or hearing it.

I lay it out there, and on more than one occasion I have been told I can be brutally honest. I'd rather be disliked because I am honest than to be liked for being a liar.
So many women say they want someone who is " honest " . What they mean by that is " lie to me , just be convincing ".
I prefer honestythumbs up
In my first draft of my profile, I had used 'almost honest', in the description for "looking for", I was being humorous and truthful. I don't believe anybody can be 100% honest, some people are just plain deceitful however, some people may be untruthful slightly, because they need to protect themselves from the deceivers.
A boy and a girl both 24 have been going steady for a while. At the guys insistance they come clean about how many previous lovers they have had.

He admits 3

She admits over 20

Is honesty the best policy?

Any part of Tangerino would be amazing and attractive. Oh wait...isn't Tangerino already taken? (Hugger quietly slinks out of the post and rides on down the dustry trail.)
hmmmm...seems like it's very difficult...sometimes it's hard to be tactful but true.
but if someone asks me "be honest and tell me..." I warn him/her every time before: Be sure I will, so make up your mind if you could stand it or not! cool
I am open and honest in my communications at all times and answer all and any of questions, even those that might make me look foolish for the mistakes that I have made over the years. In saying that I know that honesty like beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, meaning my truth (honesty) from my prospective may not be the same truth as sean from you prospective.
Honesty= telling the truth. Telling the truth involves answering a question directly without lying or attempting to deceive. but sometime being too honest can hurt...
