Finding Our Finest Moment

A strong persons moment is not when he receieves a medal of honor. But it is whenever he is in battliefield of whatever life situation. Where he has to overcome his fears no matter what. He is at his best when he practices courge and self-sacrife amidts life altering situations. And one thing he is not is happy @ that moment, happy. Emotional happiness comes after he survives it all. But until then, he just hangs in there and keeps going. Only in the battlefield can a soldier know much courage and self-sacrifice he really has. No soldlier gets a medal of value sitting around the camp!

I'm too old to join the army now , so someone else can do all the dieing now ...banana
Well written but not entirley sure I agree with everything.

What is the point of sacrifice and suffering if nobody see's or acknowledges. Whether personal or on a battlefield we all like to be recognised.

Who has the most medals? Why, the generals of course. The ones least likely to see the real fighting.

Perhaps the generals did some killing in the past and thay liked it so much thay wanted to stay as long as possible.
Now thay are retired killers. drinking
Very deep.
I think we all have own's battlefields... and life to check out how much courage we have. Parrents who have terminally ill children, doctors at hospitals etc... and these people who really are self-sacrificed, never ask for medals and don't boasting with what they do...
Morgen to call military people killers is not right. They do their work so you can sit here and chat online in your cozy home.

Felix, Have you ever noticed that countries that never have the resources to feed themselvs always find the money to buy weapons ! ! ! . . sigh
every day its the same old , shoot the bad guy , bang your dead banana
Yes Frank - and The RPG is one of those's weapon's -

New-York hospitals in the early 70's couldn't provide the basic care for their soldiers coming back from Nam - resources were being chanelled into a war that was hurting the people in the US & Vietnam - the best thing there was to see the troops coming home.

War has many sides

1) To protect your country
2) To protect your interests
3) Civil War
4) A just War
5) A war for freedom

but every country has their own reason's for war & I believe in medal's of honour - my country fought a war in poverty for freedom.
