My past shows up?

He is my past and he's a father of 2 daughters and a husband of a pretty lady. Suddenly,he texted me last night and he wants to meet me next week.I said OK but I'd like to meet his wife and if possible with his daughters too.
He said No,and then I said," sorry,I can not meet you then. For me,its not good for a married man to meet a single woman without telling his wife.Especially the single woman were his gf."
His reason is reunion. Gee.. doh

I know his wife..well not in personally,but she knows that me and her husband were in a relationship. I never contact him since he got married. And now, he wants to meet up? doh

I don't wanna his wife thinks that I flirt with his husband.And,I don't want him --as my ex bf-- too close to me. He is my past and I dont have any special feelings to him.

@ Narnia : Yes, I think what you did is the wise thing to do. I believe it's not that you don't want to be his friends or whatever people will try to tell you that he might just want to be friend with you like before. Just follow your own gut, especially if the man has disappear or never contact you for long time and sudden want to meet you and begin to texting you often. Be wise. Find out.
