Prejudice

Seeing through the crystal ball of this common trend that is so rampant in our modern society as it was back then,is as clear as spring on a sunny day.The superiority of one race as opposed to another springs forth utter hate, haughtiness and action that revolves around persecution either way verbally, physically or on the seat of ones emotions. There are indeed many forms as the below experience will so succintly show.

Jim recently moved from an Afro community to live among a people of indian decent. Now nothing prepared him for what was about to unfold. Now one day while he was at home he heard two loud explosions, upon running outside to investigate the matter he saw his son who was 10 years old at the time with bullet wounds to his chest and arms. The boy later that day succumbed to his injuries which was the sadest thought that engulfed Jims heart that day.Five hours later he received a telphone call with the message...''Thats what Africans deserve,to die like dogs.I hope you get the message now...Get out of our beeping community.''

This experience succintly demonstrates that of racial prejudice and mind you prejudice takes all forms, sometimes it comes lightly and sometimes in extreme cases.1.Might be because of a persons financial status
2.Skin colour or race
3.A persons material possessions
4.A distinguished position of authority
4.Or ones achievement in life

There are yet many more reasons for prejudice but how can one curb the increasing trend of prejudice that poisons our society as a whole. It is like trying to fish a needle from an open sea, when theres not a uniting bond, this oneness of love and unity that engulfes our societies our planet, our earth...this place we call home.

Thank you very much for reading my thoughtshandshake

I don't think we can curb it overall we can only curb our own and childrens, and hope it has a knock on effect.

Yes it starts with us invidually and instilling that within our children molding them into individuals who have love for all, without hypocrisy and prejudice. Thanks Redex for reading your your kind thoughtsbouquet
I am sorry to hear Poet! Prejudices are something really bad... But I think the more productive way is to find the reasons why some prejudice has been established. Then to try to destroy this prejudice by coping with its reasons. wave handshake
But what if such prejudice strikes into a form of persection that jepordizes ones belongings or family.dunno Well the latter experience of Jim what was not metioned there was the fact that Jim resolved the issue by striking back vicious and up to this current day he is in prison. But you're quite right Jana, there are more practical and workable solutions that can help one to bear up under this bad trait called...''Prejudice''hug wine M.M
very deep thoughts poet. such a sad but real story you share unfortunatly the selfishness of people in general have their own ideology views on how humans should intereact with each other even if it causes harm to another, the blindness short sided and most important the uneducated people of this world who do not even have a clue of what they are saying only thing they hear things from is tv, books, movies, and of course all ready radical racial motivated parents who choose to have babies that cannot even offer them the proper education. anyways this is too deep for me right now. ugggggggg....
Hey Mike you're sure right,i hope i put things in clear perspective.Maybe theres a sunshine beyond the horizon or maybe many more dark and gloomy days but whatever the change or outcome, things will not be changing anytime soon.cheers
Interesting topic wave The reality is some people LIKE looking down on others. It makes them feel better and more secure about themselves.
what a sad story to read...reminds me of the days of ethics classes...and real case scenarios also...in my opinion when an individual race even turns on itself what is to be expected..unfortunately this occurs in a lot of places...it all comes down to the individual and the family...which brings me to a blog i posted ."what is the most pressing issue of our time," my response the breakdown of the family, to then society, to the whole world...it all begins w one...As Ghandi stated ,..."the way to peace is peace..."
this is human nature poet,,people forget where they came from and harm others as well...

.and sir kickit,,not all uneducated people think that way you describe them,,im one of them sir..
cheers hug teddybear
I do not have to bear a daily dose of bigotry but it rises it's head at me every once in awhile so I know what you mean.

I know I have felt like doing what your friend did then I have to rely on my God Almighty and my head simmers down.
Hi Broonze that falls in the category of a haughty character, thanks for readingwine

Hi Jedda thanks for stopping by on my blog, not much of a blog writer but occasionally i try to write about something serious.grin
Hi Ed sometimes reliance on God and the peace he gives is the only way to subside such feelings of returning that evil for evil.cheers
