Believe

You can't MAKE people BELIEVE anything. People will say and do whatever they must to make themselves feel good about themselves. They don't want to get hurt, abused, mistreated or taken advantage of. Nobody deserves that. But it's something that can happen to the best of us. The woman who loves and cries her heart out because she just found out yesterday that her fiance is cheating on her, is sitting at home alone on Christmas Eve. She couldn't MAKE him believe that she was worth his loyalty. And he can't make her believe that he won't do it again.

This *INTERSECTION* of reality requires growth and choice. What will you believe to get what you want?

The woman who got EVICTED yesterday who is now sleeping at a shelter with her kids, because she waited and begged for jobs but nothing came through, won't BELIEVE that brighter days are coming. It's Christmas Eve, how can you expect her to BELIEVE? What you BELIEVE is a choice. But if you only believe negative, you will never attract the positive. If you only BELIEVE in the WORST of things, you will NEVER believe you deserve the best of things.

You can ultimately BELIEVE you deserve something, but allow your negative beliefs to PREVENT you from getting the very thing you BELIEVE you deserve!!

Children believe Santa Claus is going to leave gifts under the tree. They believe they deserve that gift. But if an adult pounds them with negative beliefs that Santa doesn't exist, if they get told that they only deserve something if they're "good" 365 days, they'll never believe they're worthy of getting a gift.

But what if children didn't BELIEVE at all!!?? It would take a lot of hope, inspiration and life out of this season of the year. They're kids! But what about the adults?

Somewhere between childhood and adulthood we forget the MAGIC of BELIEVING.

We forget to believe in our dreams, in the good of others, in the good of our family members, in the good of what *could* be. We'd rather force ourselves to believe the worst instead of the best, because after all... that's the SAFE choice. It's the EASY choice. Well believe this: SOMEONE believes in YOU everyday.

They believe in you when you drive your car (but you speed), they believe in you when you do your job at work (even though you're late), they believe in you when you tuck your children in at night (even though you don't always tell them you love them), they believe in you when you don't show your appreciation (even though you still want them to love you & accept you at your worst). To BELIEVE is to LIVE. Make the choice to believe. Spend more time believing in things that ADD to your life. Never stop believing. NEVER. NEVER. NEVER. Believe in yourself first and foremost. Greatness belongs to you. Believe it.
