non taken, but is that all you have to say, knowing the clasical performing arts world,i am sure they will have lots of comments on (THE PEOPLES GAME)
The beauty of art is personal to the viewer.
An art form as in a skilled profession, I guess it could be if you like football but football managers being Rembrandts of today, I don't see it moping
They don't really mould or create their players, they rally around trying to 'buy' the best so they don't have to put too much effort in. That said I really don't know alot about football and am not a fan of the sport.
On the other hand, Ballet is an art form, and the way most footballers swan dive and cry I reckon maybe you could be right rolling on the floor laughing
ok many americans have said you need to be a ballet dance to play football, maybe they where on the right lines,is football just a skill?is painting, playing an instrument,ok maybe not a Rembrandt-is LS Lowrie a better example?
True artists only get recognised after their passing... or so they say.
I really don't see it at all, managers are there mainly to hide the misbehaviours of their team, to train them, to keep them in line and make them winners.
Artist's they may be.. but as a lady I couldn't type here what kind of artists I'm thinking of bouquet
WAS NOT VAN GOGH A BIT OF AN ARTIST AS YOU SAY(PI-- ARTIST),LOTS OF THEM EVERYWHERE,THE DUTCH PUT IT SO WELL(KUNSTVORM)AND AS YOU SAY ITS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER,WITH ONE EYE CLOSED IF YOU HAVE TO MUCHlaughIE DOES A BAD POEM LOOK BETTER WHEN YOU HAVE HAD A DRINK,OR A SALVIDOR DALI?NOW HE MUST HAVE LIKED A GLASS OF WINE OR SIX??
Football an art form rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
there are millions of people around the world, who would disagree on your ridicule, the most popular sport on the planet by far..it gets a bad press for sure in britain(they dont like working class heros)phlebs come to mind?
Oh dear.... no ridicule intended... my hero's are all working class hero's..just not well paid for kicking a ball around ones heart wings
cupid, thanks all imput is relevant(its your choice)its the snobs i cant stand.did you ever see those art critics evaluating a painting by chimpslaugh what about that pile of bricks in a galery?confused football is about the kids playing-and some of those kids-become with a ball an artist.
I used to feel that way until I read the bible and I learned there are more important things. Sports people, and I used to work for Major League Baseball team, tend to let these games control you.

So, that said, I don't agree with the writer but that's his opinion and he's welcome to it! I am happy he enjoys what he is doing!
well ed there you go its not the sport itself, with kids its all natural,at the top end money is the king iam afraid.how many kids in all sport are left broken hearted when they are let go by pro teams?my thinking was what is a skill,a talent,an art,as the dutch article said football training is an artand refered to dutch trainers?
I was born with a creative mind... but i think maybe i would have been better off at (least financially )if i had been a plumber or a mechanic..... or such .
regards art in football, well there is no doubt that certain players take it to a different level...
IS IT ART?
I suppose you could say poetry in motion applause wine
cupid i never shouted at youteddybear you have had great impact on a good topic, theres lots of arty things i dont get(maybe my ignorance)and you sound really good in your knowledge, but also flexible in your thinking.nice one
raven good one.dont sports people have creative minds in another way?
cupid i wrote in capitals because my typeing skills are useless,i am still learning all this, but it is nice when you find somebody nice and genuine.take careheart wings
ladybee, well said FORM-what the human body puts itself through over lots of years week in week out? CONTENT-the knowledge of constucting patterns of play which must be rewritten in seconds..do not all artists want an end result,is it not your wish to sell your work? IE PAYMENT IS ALSO TO WIN
