If your line of thinking is correct then we don't need medical doctors either! Go ahead and diagnose yourself and while your at it do your won surgeries. I know kind of an extreme but it helps me to make my point.

Jesus Christ wasn't a priest although He was compared to a person named Melchizedek who appears for a short while in the bible as a high priest and only this is said. Jesus Christ was the high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
I may be wrong but I don't think I am. But Jesus Christ NEVER made himself a priest. He was always referred to as Rabbi. Rabbi means "teacher"!
So that brings us to this, scouse, you are absolutely right. We need teachers. Teachers that don't make themselves better than you because a true teacher will say, "I am no better than you and if I make a mistake I want you to correct me". Yes, any theologian that makes that statement is an excellent teacher!
Even an excellent doctor will say to you under critical circumstances. We will need a second opinion!
I didn't answer your question. No, I don't hate priests. I feel sorry for the religion they preach. I feel sorry for them for following practices for centuries that are wrong. Once you read the bible you will see the discrepancies in their teaching.
And again, a real teacher will set you free. And the real teacher is Jesus Christ!
You know what a real Christian says?
Believe in the Lord and what He says. Do not seek revenge because revenge is His for any wrong doing especially wrong teaching. It is in the last page of Revelation!
I know where I have to go to learn and I don't worry about wrong teaching because false prophets will be dealt with severely. It's not my business. It's God's business.
I respect your right to unbelief and it won't make me dislike you. Your unbelief is none of my business! BUT!! I will pray for you and perhaps one day you will change your mind. In addition, I will pray for you for your health and your well being. Now!! Praying is my business and I do it gladly because I am obeying God.
