Try for your own sakè to come out of your childhood pain and leave it behind now. The fact that your mother put up with him and went along with the arrangement Also has its reasons . That he stayed till your mother let him Go , has a reason. People all have reasons for doing what they do.
It might help if you recognise that we are mostly selfish beings and will mostly do what is more convenient for ourselves most of the time.
Try to see the situation with eyes wide open , and as an adult. Your childhood may have been messed up, but its up to you to live differenty as an adult.

The best thing that can happen from your experiences is that you both can learn a lesson .... That is that what happenned to you will not happen again in your life with your own children.
It can end here because you know what they did was not good.
Every person is a product of his environment ...your parents too.
You can make something good of this bad experience , take charge of the lesson to be learnt here and make the change in your own life.
It is important to forgive Ian , so you can become content and at peace with yourself.

I had a relatioponship like yours once.. We split up and i missed him so much i forced him to come back to me. We were ok for a while. But in the end i wishes i had not gone back to him. I wished i had not missed him So much . I should have done what people are suggesting you do...go out . Mix with people., get over it. Never Go back. Recognise it was a good. Thing while it lasted, now you are free, be happy.

I believe heaven and hell is here on earth , it is how you make it yourself, . If i am wrong i will wait and see. I like the idea of god, but religion leaves me puzzled. Faith is within us. We either have it or not. I fully accept that when i die it is all over , the end. I can understand how religion might have been developed to help control the masses.
I dont need the promise of heaven To make me be good person , because i believe in humanitarianism.

Sixty seven thousand arrived by boat from north Africa so far this her in Italy.
The sad thing is , they get processed and are left on the street to fend for themselves. There is no support financially here. They are entitled to Free health care , but without an address they cannot get the card.
Many kids are abbandoned by their parents or often single mums Who just cannot cope. Many refugees from Africa here tell horror stories of how bad life in Italy is for a refugee.
Most admit it was better back home from where they came .
I feel sorry for them , i cannot help wondering how it would be if America instead of spending the billions of dollars a day on war, to instead spend it on infrastructure in needy countries how that might not be a better solution.
I have experienced life in a country that did accept many thousands of refugees from Vietnam back in the seventies , Australia i would say has had a positive result over all with its Vietnamese refugees. The kids of the back then refugees are doing very well today. They educated their kids , worked very hard for themselves mostly ....Made good citizens of their new country . I thInk of the Vietnamese as a very welcome people in Australia , i have high praise and great respect for what they achieved,

I have no photo , it is my choice and allowed on this site. I am not single and dont seek a mate . That is Also allowed . I like to participate in the blogs , if someone becomes my friend and wishes to see what i look like apon trust i will offer them my Facebook so they can know all about me and see hundreds of photos of me and my life. I believe just a photo does not a woman make . When i had my photo up i got a lot of unwanted attention here , so my experience is better without a photo.

I always offer to pay on a first date , if the guy accepts , he wont hear from me again . Good way of eliminating the cheapskates, Who Wants one of those in their life.
I do believe however when a relationship is established in pooling funds, for big purchases together, like holidays etc. I offer my generosity abundantly, so cannot be bothered with men Who act mean on a first date. Its not a good sign for the future. Even poor people can be generous. In their own way. Thats what counts .
