Religion cannot save you, but Jesus can!
Can religion save a sinner from his or her sin?The answer is No! A religion can't save anyone from anything. But the person of Jesus Christ, who is the sinless Son of God, who paid the penality for our sins, can save us, from our sins.
You don't have a personal relationship with God in Hinduism. You don't have a personal relationship with God in Buddhism. You don't have a personal relationship with God in Islam.
The only way you could have a personal relationship with God is through Jesus Christ, who bridged the gap between sinful humanity, and a holy God, being God's Son paying the penality for our sin, offering salvation as a free gift, and giving us forgivness.
There is no true forgivness in any of those religions.
In Hinduism, there's no sin to forgive. There is only karma to begin with.
And Buddhism, there's no absolute moral laws ,so there's no sin to forgive.
And in Islam forgivness is a rather arbitrary thing, and no basis for it. Because, there is no one who paid the penalty for our sin, (a price to appease God on our behalf), so that salvation can be released when His justice is satisfied, and His mercy is released.
That comes only through a relationship, not a religion. A relationship with Christ.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son to condemn the world, but to save the world through him (John 3:16-17).
Jesus said: I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6).
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).

It matters little what form of prayer we adopt or how many words we use. What matters is the faith which lays hold on God, knowing that He knows our needs before we even ask Him. That is what gives Christian prayer its boundless confidence and its joyous certainty. - Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
Many Christians have what we might call a "cultural holiness". They adapt to the character and behavior pattern of Christians around them. As the Christian culture around them is more or less holy, so these Christians are more or less holy. But God has not called us to be like those around us. He has called us to be like himself. Holiness is nothing less than conformity to the character of God. --Jerry Bridges.

Thanks for your positive messages regarding Christianity. Very kind of you! However, I was curious about this quote, that you said you like...

I am willing to befriend anyone who is not a Christian.
However, I was wondering what keeps you from commiting to the one whom you say you love (Jesus Christ)? For love is a commitment. And to enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ, means to receive Him, as your personal Savior (John 1:12).
No longer trusting in what you can do to earn or deserve heaven, but to personally place your trust, in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). This is what it means to become a Christian. Why not commit to Christ (become a Christian), who wants to save you from your sins, and give you eternal life?
For religion cannot save. Only Jesus can.
