Help Needed ...
2 incidents i witnessed today ... I was on my way to work in the morning when i saw a yoibng lady tripped and fell to the ground. The next thing i realised was that most of the people around rushed to help her up. some were even asking if she was alright.the 2nd was a caucasian (another lady) asking for help on how to get to a certain location. i was at a coffee shop nearby and notice that she approached a teenager for assistance. after a small chat, i saw her walking alongside the boy. they crossed the road together. they reached another traffic light junction ahead and the boy was pointing and directing her to where she wanted to go.
later the boy walked all the way back to where i was seated and then into the same coffeshop to buy his food.
it then occured to me that when we are approached for help unexpectedly and in an impromptu situation, we tend to render assistance and help immediately.
however, when help is being asked and we are left with time to consider, we tend to think of all possibilities and maybe come up with some lame excuses due to reluctance...
do u think so or it is just my thinking ...

Yes, I think your right. In most cases it does seem that way. A spontaneous gesture gets taken care of but a "time to think about it request" does sometimes meet resistance. Especially if it's a money request or of some type of value.

We are after all "Mostly Harmless"
Nearing to the day, I had text messages n calls from one after another saying they cudn't make it. ..
To cut the long story short, my then young kids n I did the moving ourselves with the help of the removal truck driver I engaged.
Today those guys are still my friends.
