she is 24 and her mum is 52. her husband to be is 55.

does it mean that he will address the older lady 'mummy' too after they are married ?

Yeah, it's always best to let people do what they do. This was I can judge myself.
I assume he will call her by her name, she is not his Mother.
The same goes to my sis in law who is married to our youngest bro. She's in her 60's and she keeps on calling us elder sister in local lingo. At first, I don't like the sound since she looks very much older than us. But I've been used to it now. Just consider it as an endearment. It would be amusing if a stranger mistook the husband to be mum's. I heard that had happened.grin
