Stars exploding at death, due to the cessation of fusion throwing out energy which has been deadlocked with the mass of the stars own gravity.
yes core is compressed.
but the star is then gobbled up by the resulting pull of super massive gravity.
some of these stars make our sun look silly.
PS the sun is a star, planets are not.
yes I might be few short of a dozen but this little lady knows stars and plant aren't one in the same.
one day our star the sun will do the same there are two stages in the life of a star our sun is in the second stage of its life.
