A good movie
I have always enjoyed this movie for multiple reasons. Well researched, a good plot and good actors who do a good job. All my opinion, but I found an excerpt to share.A big city detective is hunting a killer. Initially he logically assumes he is hunting a person. Soon however he learns he is actually hunting something much older and way more dangerous.

I love good detectives .. Who done it etc and don't mind a bit of supernatural but can't do horrors... Which is it? Looks good.
@ Wallops it is a mix. A homicide detective investigating a killing trips across an ancient entity and then it gets personal. If by horror you mean chain-saw stuff and things like that, no relax, it is a cop movie so yes, gunfire and dead folk, but no visible goblins or heads being ripped off.
That is as much spoiler as I think you should have. :)
