Something quite majestic about large oil paintings,a good quality scenic oil painting can look amazing in the right place,pastels also i find quite pleasing. I love to draw with basic pencils and have tried to make some of my pictures look as close to water colours as possible,,had some decent results over the years,but just dont get the time any more....Tiz a great release to lose oneself in art though..

You Know! What I do sometimes.

If I see a painting online that I likes. Well! I print it out. Blow it up to a bigger size! Place a frame around it. Then hang it up on the wall!

PS. When someone ask me where did I get that painting from.

I Say!....Online.

Old masters, impressionists, post impressionists. I used to try to imitate their techniques. Now I try to work in contemporary painting and sculpture which is all over the place in ideas and aesthetics.
