To be, is the infinitive of the verb. eg. to be or not to be...
Also used with a future or conditional tenses: tomorrow I will BE here... or I would BE grateful if you could do me a favour...or it could be/maybe/might be...
Been: is used for a present perfect tense, eg-
I have been here for ages... It´s been a long time...
Being: is the continuous form, eg. I am being very cautious... or, we are all being very helpful here...
Hope it helps? Don´t hesitate to contact me for further questions, ok?
Don´t worry Ken, you are always useful.
If you need grammar lessons, maybe we should do this privately, what do you think? I mean on PM?
As you can see, I have just used "could", which is the conditional form of "can" - meaning "being able to".
We also use can as a request, e.g. "can I help you"? or "can you please open the window"?
But, asking "could you please open the window"?, is a more polite request.
Using "could" in a statement is meant more as a possibility ,e.g.
"I could help you if you wish but... I don´t know if I can..."
May is for permission, e,g, "May I open the window"?
Maybe means Yes, or No. e.g. "Maybe I will come tomorrow, I am not sure"
Should means "ought to" or "must", e.g. "I think I should call my friend...", or for giving advice "You should look at your grammar books!"
