"GETTING A VIDEO CAMERA"

As I Was Driving along A Single Lane Road..Going Both Ways(In Indiana)...In The Distance I Could See A Woman Coming In The Opposite Direction..Walking Her Dog
She Was maybe 400 Feet away..and What Did I See?
She Was Wacking This Dog With her Hand..Not Once...But Multiple Times..As I Got Closer..She Kicked This Dog(Who... At This Time Was Cowering And Scared)
Well..That Was Enough For Me...I Finally Got to Stop On The Side Of This Single Lane Road Going Both Ways...I Called The Cops
She Wasnt Far At All From Where I Stopped(Maybe 100 Feet)
The State Cop Arrived
I Told The Cop What I Just Saw
He Went And Talked With Her As I Stayed With The Truck
While I Was Watching Them Talking..She Was Petting This Dog
(Putting On A Very Good Act)
The Cop Came Back And Said This To Me
"By The Way That There Dog Was Acting..I Have No Doubt As To What Youve Told Me"..."But Its Your Word Against Hers..And Theres not Much I Can Do"..And The Cop Left
I Couldnt Help But Feel Bad For That Poor Dog..And The Worst Part Is Knowing What That Dog Has Been Through... And What He Will Be Going Through For The Rest Of His Life
I Think Im Going To Get One Of Those Video Cameras..That Mount Inside The Cab..And Record Whats In Front Of Me As I Go Along
If I Had One Then..That Dog Wouldve Been Saved From A Life of Being Beaten
I Will Always Think About That Dog
And All The Other Things That Happen To Animals We Will Never Know About

Dashboard cameras are a good thing, or in a situation like that point your phone at a person and let them believe you're filming. At least in this situation, somebody (yourself) cared enough to do something. Keep caring, its a good thing.
Thanks for caring brother. And like Pat said, I second that because it would not been your word only against the perpetrator.

Drive carefully specially on those single land road. It must be snowing there now and so be more careful.wave
Yup, go for it, Nam thumbs up thumbs up
Few People care like thatthumbs up thumbs up

Rolf
I've never hit anyone in my life but for that woman and I use the term loosely about her being a woman I would make an exception in her case.

Too bad it's against the law to do the very same as people who mistreat their pets or children.

People who do that kinds of stuff to animals or humans aren't human and are nothing but cowards.
Sem that is obviously why the world is the way it's become cause not too many people care.
Good Morning Nam,wave I give you credit for what you did, thumbs up I m hoping, your actions, and the cops, might have rattled some brain cells in that womans head, yay
( In a better world, somebody should have been able to give that woman a kick or two) wishful thinking, yay
You have a good day there Bud,handshake
A story with heart.thumbs up teddybear .sorry that your efforts didn't bring any relief for the poor dog but who knows, maybe just that fact that the woman now knows she isn't going to be able to use those kind of tactics out in public will improve future life for the dog..if only for those moments when she is out with it. You did the right thing..and getting a dashcam will be interesting for future.
I wanted to add, maybe the woman has a personality disorder like bipolar? In which case should not be allowed to have a pet. Poor dog.sad flower

It needs rescuing. The dog I mean.sad flower
More than once, I have used my cellphone to record stuff and show it to appropriate people. :)
Thanks for The Positive Comments

But What I Did Is Whats Expected Of Anyone
Who Sees something Like That

I Only Speak Up For Those(Animal Or Human)

Who Have No Voice Of Their Own

In My Mind
I Did nothing Special
To Me
Its A Normal Thing That All Should Do..............detective
Nam, what you did was special, yay , You did something about a bad situation, by calling a policeman. I figure talk is cheap, (a lot of people hem and haw, and complain, and never Do ANYTHING) You did your best to correct a sad situation, You ve got my admiration, handshake thumbs up
