'Aviation Royalty'

The 'undisputed' Queen of the Skies is one beautiful sight to behold both on the ground and aloft. Indeed one of the most recognized planes on Earth, the Boeing 747 has broken so many records that I can't possibly mention them all in this post! With the introduction of the new and powerfully efficient 'twinjets' the 747 is no longer the choice of the airlines anymore. Most new orders to the Boeing Plant come in the form of the 'Cargo' version of this magnificent aircraft. What a shame because there is nothing like her in the skies, sure there is a slightly larger plane out there, but it in my humble opinion could 'never' surpass the beauty of this 'majestic' aircraft! Most assuredly a 'true' milestone of the air. "Long Live The Queen!"

thumbs up You are right, a beauty, and had a great long
service history. The 707 for me, was the most attractive
passenger aircraft aloft.
She may be the queen, but the piper cub is sill the king. Long live the king!

I did travel extensively overseas...and had many a pleasant flight in the Boeing 747 aircraft...

Have perused over the idea many times of getting a Cessna for myself, but private pilot lessons here in SA are exorbitant so canned the idea. cheers
