Geeze my Catholic upbringing did me no good.. I was taught by the nuns and priests that Sunday was the last day of the week... when God created the world... on the seventh day(i.e Sunday) it was time to rest...
Mondays, people are usually too hung over after celebrating the "last' day of the week"
