They were actually showing elephants chained up all their lives so that people could sit on their back and have their photo taken.
For this they had to kill the mother and take the baby away.
Considering that elephants are herd animals and normally walk about 30 miles a day, it´s absolute cruelty!!!
Same happens to baboons as they look so sweet when babies.
Unfortunately, people don´t see beyond a cute baby elephant or baby baboon - and still refuse to see when pointed out the facts.
In some countries it is of course big business!

Here, we have this guy "Wild Frank" from Madrid, who is investigating and denouncing zoos and circuses for animal cruelty.
