Hi Molly......I think that if I woke up as a man there would be a few things that I would not fuss or worry about that a lot of us women do.....for example.....whether or not there is shampoo, conditioner and shower gel.....a simple bottle of three-in-one would be fine......no fuss choosing clothes - once clean it doesn't matter......look in the mirror (even with a well developed beer gut) and think I'm really handsome - not thinking that I must go on a diet.......wouldn't worry if the bedroom was a mess......wouldn't be too bothered if the sink was full of yesterday's pots and pans.....wouldn't go to the supermarket not unless I was down to my last drop of milk in the fridge......wouldn't spend half an hour on the phone to a friend telling a story that should only take a few minutes.....if I had a headache I could act as if I'm at death's door and look for sympathy....not have to continue on regardless with day's tasks.....a visit to the hairdressers would only take 15 minutes not two hours for highlights etc......would have very simple requirements as regards a romantic evening - ie the remote control and a few beers.....and, finally, as regards my work life I would probably find that my newly acquired 'equipment' would be a distinct advantage as regards what my take home pay would be at the end of the week and what my promotion prospects would be.....I could go on and on here but just a few examples of a ' win win' situation!!... lol....ps.....only joking!...I like being a woman and wouldn't change for anything.........

Hi Jazz.....Thank God is right......I cannot believe that it is not illegal in every civilised country.....very disturbing that this cruelty to animals is allowed.....animal welfare is a serious business in present times and is taken as such by authorities in most countries......

My goodness.....Even though I only got as far as the first few seconds of this video I found it absolutely abhorrent and was actually shaken by the scenario depicted......I also found the innuendo contained in subsequent posts most disturbing......Anyway, thankfully, any barbaric practice such as this is illegal in Ireland and anybody found doing it would be arrested.......and for a woman to post a video of themselves on youtube wielding a knife and holding down a terrified animal is, in my opinion, horrifying...... one of the worst types of post I have ever witnessed on here.....

Hi Map.....hope all good in your lovely part of the world.....My own opinion is that both men and women are first and foremost human beings and for the most part have the same hopes of finding attractiveness, confidence, humour, respect, understanding, feeling valued and needed etc etc.... and, of course, feeling loved by our partners.....Unfortunately, most humans have lots of shortcomings which make us far from perfect so looking for perfection in another human often disappoints.....sometimes what women want ( or men) and what they end up with is very different......if we don't possess these traits within ourselves then it is highly unlikely that we will attract somebody who does possess them.......so basically what I'm trying to say is that we should have a long, hard, honest look at ourselves first of all and perhaps then we will find the answer as to why we do not sometimes get what we want......I know I'm not properly answering your question so probably adding proof to the idea that we are indeed enigmas!.... But, anyway, just giving an opinion, albeit a bit longwinded and confusing!

I have no hatred for you Lyndsy.......I have lots of better things to expend my energy on.......Only thing is.....a bit like a train crash.....you have been difficult to miss around here for the past couple of years.......my goodness at times one would have thought that it was you yourself that was running for President of the US and not Trump.......you bored the pants off the majority of people on here......I will not reiterate your ingrained hatred towards all Muslims again.....that fact is noted by most intelligent people on here.......Anyway, not sure how many years you have been on here but, from what I have read from you.....you have never been short in boasting about your wonderful children, your luxiourios cruises and jet setting lifestyle.......So now, after a load of blogs and threads....all of a sudden....in one blog everybody is told about the romantic relationship you have been having with somebody who was a member on this site?..........The beginning and the end of a relationship all divulged in one post from somebody who most of the time finds it impossible to shut up?........ strange to say the very least.......

Hi Nam......I totally agree with you on this subject.....I remember when my children were young they used to come home from school with discount vouchers which had been given to the school by a circus that was visiting in the local town......At the time they just could not understand why I would not allow them go to it and they begged and cried for hours....All my friends used to try to get me to change my mind saying they would feel the odd ones out not being allowed to attend.....It was only year's later that my children thanked me for sticking to my guns and they always tell me that the lesson I taught them will stay with them forever and that, when the time comes, they too will forbid their own kids from going......I also never brought them to the Zoo in Dublin and on a few occasions forbade them from going on school trips there......I cannot abide the thought of any animal being held captive except perhaps in instances where a species is in danger of extension and I do realise that there is a lot of wonderful work being done in this regard.....usually with the intention of returning those animals to their natural environment..... jmo.....

Ah, Thank you....I'm glad I didnt say anything to upset you Crazy......I was just talking in general......We had a woman at work who continuously talk about how wonderful her kids were!!... Jeez she bored us to tears.....She used to say that, On Valentines Day, herself, her husband and their three children used to give presents to each other in little boxes......when we asked what was in the boxes she said they never opened them......her answer was......" we didn't ever open them cos the 'Love' would escape'.....to be honestit used to make the restbof us feel nautious!... lol....

Hi Map....Feeling a little guilty here about my poor oven after reading your blog...the poor thing must be nearly ready for rehab after two weeks of baking 25 Xmas cakes and 30 Xmas puddings!...all ready for the Xmas market... Smothered in the fumes from about four bottles of Irish Whiskey....I really will have to show a little more respect for it and not be encouraging it to drink so much!..

Hi Elegs.....just sharing my memory of Christmas....In Ireland we only had one television channel which did not start until 5.30.... We loved Christmas because telly started at 2.30.... Lots of Shirley Temple films...my Mam served us our dinner on our laps while we were watching telly....never asked us to do the washup!!.... I always remember those days.....anyway Wishing you and your's a lovely Christmas...

Hi Nam....It seems very strange to me that there isn't any furore at all about Saudi Arabia (the richest country in the Middle East) not offering to take in even one migrant.....I d'ont hear of any controversy over their stand on the issue.....their only offer of help is to build 200 mosques in Germany???..... What's the story with their stance in this crisis?.... A lot of European countries are now trying to close their borders albeit after a massive unsustainable influx....my goodness it looks like there will definitely be another World War...jmo....

Just a thought but perhaps their lack of interest may be due to this?... also...if indeed you are this famous writer who has decided to grace this humble site with your presence...perhaps stating your correct age might be helpful to the age group you state as a preference?.... Just try being honest and you might have better luck....

It's a sad fact of life that people have to travel to strange countries through ecenomic necessity....nobody likes to have their family members living thousands of miles away.....on the other hand in my job I saw an awful lot of money being sent home by those family members which was a huge help to their poor relations....In some cases they are able to earn more money in a couple of months than they would earn in a year in their own countries....it is a big sacrifice to have to make but they do it out of necessity and for the love of their families in their homeland.....jmo...

Hi Candy....just to say I totally agree with your opinion of on-line dating....I often think it must be very difficult for people living in very big countries like South Africa, U.S., Australia, Canada etc...the distances alone between people must cause a lot of obstacles....it is a lot easier in a small country like Ireland where we are all within driving distance of each other....there's never a problem if we want to meet up......anyway, I don't think that your personal preferences on your profile should be of any concern to anybody else here.....those preferences should be between you and anybody who would like to get in touch with you....personally I think all the talk on here about LDR'S is, for the most part, a complete waste of time...jmo....
