RE: Blogging ls .........

Hi Manuman....I totally agree with you that when people are tired or really upset about anything going on in their private life it cannot help them to pour their hearts out too much on here....sometimes answers they receive will only make them feel worse in the long run.... you have the right attitude to just 'enjoy' being here whenever the humour takes you and not take this virtual world too seriously....thumbs up

RE: WHY

One thing we can be certain of and that is that it will not be the Angela Merkal's of this world or any other big shot politician who will have to live in any of the numerous high rise slums that will be built to accommodate the migrants.....she or her ilk will never have to experience the atmosphere created in otherwise beautiful cities when tens of thousands of young men are corralled together in slums with very few of their dreams of a wonderful life in the West coming to fruition.....whatever chance there was of any type of acceptance or understanding of the migrants situation all this has totally evaporated in the light of recent events.....also, the numbers arriving now are only the tip of the iceberg because, as the majority are young men, they will naturally want to start families of their own and more than likely the will have a lot more children than the average European family.....this in itself will ensure that the Muslim faith will garner a firm stronghold in Europe .....anyway, too late now from what I can see.....and as regards re-patriation....that has to be the funniest thing I have ever heard!!... How long is that going to take?... It will never happen except possibly in very few numbers....jmo

RE: Why I No Longer Take Blogging on CS Serious.

This has to be one of the funniest blogs ever....coming from someone who writes about himself in the third person on his profile and posts a 30 year old photo of the writer William Gibson as his profile picture....so funny!!!

RE: Animals' Souls

Hi Socretes.....I often wonder at what point in evolution us humans developed a so- called 'soul'?.... As we have all evolved from some species closely related to the Great Ape would it not be logical to believe that, if there is such a thing as a soul, animals would have acquired one first?.....

RE: Who knows what tomorrow brings ?

I suppose we are all guilty of spending too much time wondering what tomorrow will bring....that's not going to make it much different to today though....probably better if we do something today that we have been putting off for a while....always coming up with excuses......better to wake up tomorrow having tried something new (even if it doesn't turn out the way we want) than spending our time wondering 'what if?'....Think I'll go for that five mile walk now after those words of wisdom..laugh..... On second thoughts....maybe not....there's always tomorrow!...

RE: BIRTH – Destiny or Accident

Hi Socretes....I believe that fate determines the family we are born into.....but our destiny is then also determined by that same family.....(leaving aside for a moment the horrendous poverty and discrimination suffered by millions of people who struggle to exist)....it is the amount of nurture, love, self belief etc that is instilled in people within their family which determines their destiny to a large degree.....also, of course, the amount of emphasis that is placed on education which at the end of the day is the best way for people to ensure that they will, hopefully, be able to hold their heads high in the world and in turn make their own destiny and be able to cope with the set backs that life will inevitably hand out....as regards being born into a rich family or becoming very famous in one's own right.....that in itself does not guarantee absolute happiness.....some of the most famous families in the world like, for instance, the Kennedys in America or the British Royal Family have experienced lots of tragedies as have many famous writers and actors etc....jmo...

RE: A girl goes to a bar by herself

I don't think fellas nowadays think there is anything strange about a woman being in a bar on her own....it only shows that they are confident and independent....also makes it a little less intimidating for a fella if he sees a woman he fancies who is not surrounded by a crowd of other women.....would make it less embarrassing for him anyway if she tells him to clear off if nothing else!...laugh

RE: Im walking away

I actually agree with what the OP is referring to here.....in my opinion most of us on here don't have a clue what we are looking for....we are not happy when somebody shows us too much attention and we are not happy when they don't....everybody having a read to see what everybody else is thinking but not too many willing to put their words into action!....good to see some honest comments though from real people.......

RE: Im walking away

Ah God...typical men....yeer on here looking for a woman who's crazy about yee and then when she falls for yee hook, line and sinker yee are not happy either..laugh.... Would you ever go away and count your blessings and stop worrying!...laugh

RE: Nice from far - far from nice?

Personally I can never understand how sometimes people talk about their LDR's as if they are actually living in the same house as the other person.....they write volumes on the way the other person is so wonderful, so funny, so caring etc. towards them and saying that they know the person inside out.....by this I mean, of course, when the couple have never met at all in real life.....I notice a case going on here in the blogs at the moment where a fella has sadly become quite ill....yet the people who said they were very close to him did not even know this??.... To me anyway this shows that a lot of so called close relationships and friendships here in cyberspace can never be the same as ones we have in real life.....also, whatever chance a friendship between people on here would have of surviving it would have no chance if every personal aspect of that 'relationship' or 'friendship' is put out there for for everybody else to read....jmo

RE: Are The Famous Above The Law?

The only thing that amazes me about the whole thing is the length of time that this particular court case took.....the entire world enthralled as if watching a movie.....all day long...Sky News and the rest of them......cleaning up with revenue from ads every ten minutes......dozens of lawyers challenging each other with their well chosen answers towards each other......getting paid millions for their troubles.......and, what seemed to me anyway, a very fair judge, who, unusually happened to be a woman......and what happens at the end of all this enthralling worldwide coverage?..... Yes indeed, whether he is guilty or not....he is going home to the comfort of his own house albeit possibly for a short time.......after all, those lawyers and television companies are going to start to clean up again.......getting out for 'good behaviour'.... what a joke.....chances of not being on good behaviour whilst in prison are very limited......anyway, if it was my daughter that this entire debacle was about I would be the most hurt mother in the world....

RE: Have you ever witnessed or received a miracle from

Hi PJ.....just to say I am not an overly religious person but, saying that, I had a somewhat strange experience 16 year's ago.....my husband passed away from MS when he was 36.... On our first wedding anniversary he had given me a beautiful emerald and diamond eternity ring....about 5 year's later I lost the ring and could not find it anywhere....so that was that until, on the morning of his burial while we were preparing to go to Church, one of my sister's needed a safety pin as a buckle had broken on her dress....I knew that from time to time I would throw some on top of a high wardrobe in my bedroom having removed them off clothes returned from the dry cleaners....anyway, as I ran my hand behind the timber ledge on the top of the wardrobe I felt what I knew wasn't a safety pin!... and, yes, there was the long lost eternity ring!... The hairs stood up on the back of my neck and I fervently believed it was a message from my dead husband on that sad morning......

RE: OVER, UNDER, 2 OR 3 PLY

Ah lads....just when we thought things could not get any lower (excusing the pun)... they actually can.....i am jealous of people who only have this subject left to worry about in life....

RE: reading your stars....

What is even more unbelievable is that there are people who will ring up and actually pay money to have this complete rubbish told to them over a phone!... confused laugh

RE: The humour of profiles

I saw a really funny one a few minutes ago....went something like this "looking for an activity partner"....."preferably an economist (no less!!!).... With their own funds as i am not currently in a position to visit another country and she would have to be able to visit me!!!....rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: ? or !

This discussion has, once again, shown that people have very different opinions and beliefs....even on a site like this we all end up arguing about our beliefs.....a completely futile exercise as far as i am concerned.......what difference does it make to one person what another person believes?....no difference!!!..... It has gone on and on for thousands of years - wars and killings in the name of religions.....things never changed and all the arguing in the world will never change things either....let us just leave each other alone and live with our own beliefs......

RE: WHAT WOULD YOU DO

Well. I can understand what you are feeling.... I worked in a Bank for 31 years since I was 19... Always loved my work until, about 3 years ago....everything changed in banking in Ireland because of the economic collapse.... anyway, I decided that I would get out of there and do something that I always loved which is baking and cooking in general.....my advice would be to leave now if you are not happy and just do something that makes you happy...... Nobody can make up your mind for you...only yourself....just do it...
