this has been bugging me for quite sometime now, can a man be really get fooled by a woman on getting her pregnant without his consent?i met guys who have kids and they said they got kids from their ex gf because she fooled him.is it possible that she gets pregnant without a man knowing it even just a bit of hint?dont partners agree on it and use all the contraception they need to avoid it?or men just let women lead when they say their safe and using pills?should it not be both parties responsible for it and not blamed of getting fooled or used?

The only method of birth control that is 100% effective is abstinence.

All other methods of birth control have failure rates, so pregnancy is always a possibility.

Some people lie about using birth control, or they are human and forget to use it. If a woman is on the pill and takes some antibiotics, it makes the pill less effective.

Sadly, there are women out there who play these games. And there are women out there who forget to take their birth control, or don't use it correctly. Yes, it should be a decision made by both parties, but that is not always the case. wine

The first thing I'd ask a guy who says he's been fooled into a pregnancy is: Were you wearing a raincoat? If the answer is no, then he wasn't fooled. If the answer is yes, I'd tell him to go and get a DNA test once the baby is born.

Whether the woman forgets the pill or didn't take it intentionally or lied is really irrelevant. The minute he engages with her, he has to take responsibility.

... and the same goes for women.
So bottom line is yes, each is individually responsible for a pregnancy.

Contraceptive failures happen - that's the risk we all take when we're off to do the "wild thang" banana

IMO, if a man doesn't want children & he wants to be certain... then HE should take responsibility into HIS own hands. To say he was tricked or fooled is hogwash. You are the keeper of your own destiny. If you don't want to get burned, stay out of the fire. dunno

It should be both parties being responsible for birth control. However, people often get lazy about it and allow the other person to take care of it. Hence, babies. uh oh

Of course he could be.

Scenario...

Man&Woman in ltr

They decide on the pill for contraception.

The woman chooses to be devious and doesnt take it.

She gets pregnant.

He gets fooled into getting her pregnant without his consent.

When men are in bed there's a theory that they can't say no, so the woman will just say she's using some kind of contraceptive when she's not, or invite him to not wear it 'just this once' or she'll turn the used contraceptive device inside out or poke it with a pin, or - woops - forget to take her birth control pills - for a month. I don't condone this behavior. It's no way to have a kid or get a proposal.

this is the first time i heard a girl being tricked to get pregnant by a man..wow..it is something out of the ordinary..so it goes to show it takes two to tango..you have to be responsible for you own action and as sweet said..dont be so naive to believe everything she/he said..unless deep down you want to have a baby that is different.

I think she should tell him because he is daddy, she could not do it by herself. She proable wont and she will go get welfair so all the rest of us have to support her kid. I belive if you get a kid then you should take responceability for it and not depand on the gov. to pay for it. Take the woman that just had 6(8 not sure which) kids at once, she does not have a place to live or a job or a way to pay the dr. bills or anything and she says she is not getting on welfair, I do not belive her, I know that that is just another bill we are all going to have to pay. Oh they need spell ckhe (check) in here.

3 little letters... I.U.D.

Every woman should have one, unless she's actively trying to become pregnant.

studies have found the implenon....(small rubber rod) that is inserted in your arm between your bicep and tricep is actually 100% effective as birth control.....

no reports have shown anyone getting pregnant with it (well in Ireland ) yet!....

i've got it 6 years now....have to replace it after every 3 years....its brill though....totally recommend it!..
i've had no side effects with it either...

just my 2 cents worth!dancing

I believe that the woman should tell the father. He has a right to know.

hey pesh,it was a suprise for her indeed and when she told me I said she can give the baby my surname, but not on the birth cert, just to use as when he started school all the kids would be the same.
but a few years later she met another man and is now very happy and he is the childs dad now so it worked out for her.

but years ago my brother was asked by a girl he knew to get her pregnant so she could stay on the benifit, naturally he told her where to go so to speak

Unfortunately there is no form of birth control that is 100%. I had a girl claim I was her kids father even though I used protection. I helped out all the way until delivery and at that point I said goodbye. It was easy to tell that i wasn't the dad since he was African-American and both of us are caucasian.mumbling
