Hugz_n_Kissez: No I am talking primary healthcare needs...and the thing I am getting at is how can a dollar amount be placed on a human life????Whether they are poor...rich...illegal...it all equals human and they should all be treated the same healthcare wise....
Bottom line, how much is this free health care for the people of the world going to cost and how do you expect to fund it?

i haven't worked at any hospital in the past 20 years that have charged extra for phone or tv.

in the us its a disgrace everybody cant get health care doctors and hospitals charge outlandish fees nationally current medical insurance is a joke we need national health care

i would be willing to guess that an ekg cost a whole lot more than 30 dollars. that goes from the ekg techs hand, to the nurses hands, to the cardiologist who has to read it. i would be willing to bet 500

I'm not talking about the world...I'm talking about your healthcare system...Get rid of the insurance companies and all the other costs that are not needed...strip it bare and build it up from there....Put the funds from other things that money doesn't need to be spent on...into healthcare....

also if it was free there would be no hoops the care would be "it is what it is" if you dont like it pay for it then, seems pretty simple to me if you want free care so be it ,if you want the best care money can buy so be it

ok lets get rid of the tech and have the Doctor do his job and and give the test and read it. I am a carpenter how would you feel if i charged you for the guy who reads the prints ,orders the materials ,and the tech that drives the nails ? this can be said about any job.------ This thread is Archived ------

You just said you wanted to pay for illegal aliens having kids in the er for humanitarian reasons an now you switched to my health care system. I like what I have now and are you attempting to say that a giant government bureaucracy to administer public health care would be free?

Welllllllll yes...everybody would be covered...How did I switch anything????
Could there not be some nuetral body to administer it...why does it have to be government...Just because that is where the money is coming from????

just so you know, i am all for univeral healthcare for ALL american. but, i do understand the other side.
i have always worked for mine and my kids health insurance, worked hard and long hours to buy things that they need. i have had to prioritize what i was going to pay for and what i was going to go without in order to pay for the "needed things". i don't have parents that i can go to to bail me out. neither would my kids dad.
in my line of work, i see a lot of "feelings of entitilement" and i don't believe that people should expect what they haven't paid for. i can understand greatly when working class and middle class (who work their asses off every day, year after year) people tire of paying for people who don't put in any effort. then, to top it off, they seem ungrateful for things they are given.
