I doubt it! I don't believe that the reason bills aren't paid is because they are too high. I believe that many people simply don't pay their bills because they don't have to. If they WANTED to pay their bills, attempts would be made to do so. And there is a LOT of help out there to reduce hospital bills, and give aid to aliens both legal and illegal believe it or not to pay those bills.

i have always worked for mine and my kids health insurance, worked hard and long hours to buy things that they need. i have had to prioritize what i was going to pay for and what i was going to go without in order to pay for the "needed things". i don't have parents that i can go to to bail me out. neither would my kids dad.
in my line of work, i see a lot of "feelings of entitilement" and i don't believe that people should expect what they haven't paid for. i can understand greatly when working class and middle class (who work their asses off every day, year after year) people tire of paying for people who don't put in any effort. then, to top it off, they seem ungrateful for things they are given.

these programs do not work for everyone , and besides why would you think they would not be paid , do gas bills get paid ,do light bills get paid , the healthcare is legal robbery IMO .No one says you should not make a profit but charging some of the prices for some of the things is crazy and everyone knows that------ This thread is Archived ------

I don't think I did.....the government has money if they quit spending it in other foolish places...and I am not a Lib..in fact I don't support government parties at all...I am for what's fair and right for every human being...who shouldn't be denied the right to have medical care..period....

Programs to pay gas bills and light bills that do not get paid are also in effect here. It's just a way of life for some people. Many folks in America work quite diligently to "work the system" Harder, I believe than they work at any job! I will concede that pricing is crazy for many things.. I also believe that issue can be traced directly back to the people who just flat out refused to pay their bills though. It's a vicious circle indeed.

The US governemnt spends 50% more than they get in revenues, how would you propose that we pay for that plus the additional $1T in costs for national healthcare?

i haven't read his proposal just yet, but i will soon. i feel really bad for the working class people who just simply don't have access to affordable health insurance. insurance is simply not affordable to many WORKING CLASS people.
i was laid off once and the cobra was 700/month. my unemployment was 1400/month.

To be honest, when you arrived at the hospital, the social worker would be there in a second to hook you up with welfare to pay the bill. cause the government does NOT pay for people's healthcare who don't have insurance (whether private or governemnt).

As a person that has grown up poor my entire life, I will state one thing in this thread, all poor people going to emergency rooms and have no insurance or medicaid , the Hospital pays for it they write it off as a lose on their taxes. I have also been on medicaid for years now. You didn't pay for me using medicaid I did, I worked for years I paid in and my parents before me paid in. Many people have paid in for all their years of working. Long before we ended up having to go on medicaid.
Sure I and you and everyone is working to keep people well do you know what the hell will happen when disease spreads because of so many not getting help, disease will spread ever more rampant than it does now. It is best to fight it off at the source.
