for a few months late on last year I kept having a strong urge to go to visit an old friend and really wish Id followed up on my intuition cos all too soon came the news that he passed away......

I've experienced it many times. I knew the moment my neice was born, when my brother got pain relief when he was rushed to a hospital emergency room and even the moment when a beloved dog was put to sleep at a veterinarian's office. I was in the next room when that occurred.
Also use that 6th sense quite a bit in making nursing judgements in life and death situations.
I have never been wrong when I listened to that 6th sense. The telepathy feels like a sudden thought that plays over and over in the mind or a tugging feeling from within.
The mind connection is really there, even from 1000s of miles apart from somone when someone is strongly thinking of you at that moment.

Tele-pathetic is more like it. There is not a single instance of it being shown to work under objective testing.
Empathy, on the other hand, does exist, and that is what you were describing, your empathy for your family. That doesn't mean there was any supernatural mumbo-jumbo involved.

Yes, with certain people I've experienced it. For some reason, being on IM with some people can amplify it, too. Ask Buzzy...we've been on IM and on here together, and as he's typing a question, I've answered it...before he sends it. It's happened a couple of times. It was as if I could hear his question in my mind.

What happens when we pray? Telepathy. I think all of us are prewired in our brains to do many things. We just haven't figured out how to use these gifts, these powers. We stumble upon them and some learn how to use them. But for centuries before us many were killed because of these gifts. They were taboo, considered demonic by the ruling church. For self preservation our minds have locked it out. JMO

I agree, Buzzy. Back in the early days, those gifts were used much more by people. I think it's how we survived, and why we spread all over the world...or at least, part of why we did.
We were more in tune with the world around us, including the spiritual world...and used all 6 of our senses much more. Why do you think the Church attacked those things and said that they were demonic? To control and subjugate people.

It's no coincidence when you constantly think of somebody that somebody suddenly contacts you in a way...email, phone call or surprise visit. I have the ability to finish peoples sentences when they are only in the middle of what they are saying. I can pick up on thoughts really good at times.

It happens to me most of the time although I don't IM that much. I just know someone's hurt or upset at some point and when I inquire my thoughts have been proven true.
Amazing isn't it? And 'Stress free' has given some important sites to log on to. Will do it and get myself more educated on this topic because I am so interested in it.

Absolutely. Ever had someone in your thoughts that you have not seen in a while and suddenly their in touch, happens frequently. Loved ones know when you are in tune with them, close in midn close in heart.

He said something told him to call me. He KNEW I needed him just then. He came over with pizza & movies. It's weird how we can sense things about others. But it definitely happens!
A gal that was my best friend for 25 years and I used to have that connection, too. One time, lumps had just been found in her lymph nodes, and she was just getting ready to call me when I called her and asked what was wrong. That connection was with us across the years and across the miles. I still feel the pain of the loss of that friendship.

I think we get very distracted by the things we make in a little world of illusion but the real power is with the Mind of the Creator. We're too busy believing a false ego mind system and thinking that we are all these little gods. No wonder it seems so crazy/insane here in this imaginary place of ego. No one can get it together, agree on anything, mostly to define love as something to benefit them only. I think our 'body' is a means of communication for our essense of Spirit. That the ego thought system would only corrupt the body and cause our sicknesses. That the conflict and dissention that we make in this world manifests in our bodies as sickness. That this could all be corrected by a different choice of thought system rather than the ego. And then we would see a real world of beauty, love and joy.

Very well expressed Dusty! Yes, I believe the thought process between the created and the Creator, as it is developed in us, expands our ability to develope that same thought process with others.
It seems to occur without our conscious thought of it, ie without our thinking about bringing it into being. Yet, it can be developed into quite a useful too as we gain understanding into the ability we have attained. It is a true gift. Ask for more understanding when these premenitions occur and you will be given it. Ask for instruction of what to do in each situation. Many who have developed their gift are considered to be clairvoiant or telepathic.

So I got a mail from her last night. And I know she's been thinking of me...even had a powerful dream with her last month.
She's mentioned that she has been thinking of me a lot recently...and she also mentioned that she is pregnant with her new boyfriend.
Now I'm really trying hard to remember that dream, cause if I do recall correctly, it had something to do with a surprise which happened to take place on the beach...
