I've always said that I wouldn't, but lately, looking back, I have to say that there are things I'd change if I could go back and do so. However, I can't.
Many times of my life hold both good and bad memories...but I don't dwell there.
The summer I can smell again any time I think of it? The ones of my youth going to the ocean. I miss that smell.
STAYED IN SCHOOL and Listen to good advice.... The summer of 69 was the best. I love the smell of the ocean.... Still waiting in a flashback they told me I would have.....

sometimes i get a flashback of the past,it's like a dream i feel exactly the same as 20 years ago, smell sounds and taste. do u know what i mean? those moments make me realize how intense life really is and i savour it.
My life has been like scraping the guard rail with a new car on the freeway for the past ten years. If I would have listen to life's lessons, the car would not have been eventually destroyed.

Awww that's a lot of us. I can relate to your statement but what fun is it to listen lol.

The sounds were the best part. The screeching sounds of metal, the sparks flying, the gas spewing, the sparks igniting the fuel, the explosions that followed. Then you eject through the roof, fly through the air for a short time until you land on top of a city bus & the bus driver panics & hits the breaks & you roll off the bus & get ran over by a taxi cab & crawl over to the sidewalk afterwords to rest & while your resting you get mugged. Then when you think nothing more can happen, it's starts raining.

Yikes I was focusing on the analogy and not the actuality of the situation.

This topic annoys me. They are about regret and are futile.
With the wisdom of hindsight of course you would do things differently. But at the time you did not have that hindsight, you make the choices that have created the life that you now have.
What you need to do is think about the future and how you can make fewer mistakes, not the past
In response to: Would you do it all the same again...
Would you change some of it/all of it and what would you change?
What time of your life brings back good memories?
What year/summer etc can you smell again?
If I could live my life over I'd probably make the very same dumb mistakes as I did back then.....but there are at least 3 things I certainly don't regret doing nor do I consider them a mistake.
The only thing I would've changed in my life that maybe I would've been alittle more forgiving and alot less judgemental.
The time in my life that brings back good memories was when I was a child and as an adult when I was married and gave birth to my two sons.
If I could do anything differently, I would've stuck with my high school sweetheart, instead of getting mixed up with my ex. But then, I wouldn't have my little family then.
The summer I can smell the most? It would have to be the summer of '76, when my parents took us on a summer-long vacation all over the south. We stayed in Biloxi most of the summer & visited friends both on the way there & back. We went on our friends' shrimp boat for the Blessing of the Fleet. We also went to New Orleans, LA, where we saw the French Quarter & the Superdome; went to Ponchetrain, where we crossed the Lake Ponchetrain bridge (span about 26 miles); & went all over Florida, visiting SeaWorld & Disney World (before Epcot Center was built). We had soooo much fun that summer!
