I would want to go somewhere that is different from all other places like Venice. Where else do you see streets of water and a gondola and that person who steers the boat for you. Is that the same place that has the bull fights, never saw one of those either.

I am happy to be stuck in bed, for 14 days, the beach can wait.
Actually, talking to PPV, I said to him I needed some fresh air. That I liked to have some each day.
Of course, I was met with a response that had me laughing.
'I never saw that here, you were always in bed, only you were offered a gin and tonic or a glass of wine, would you drag yourself out and have some fresh air'

Somewhere less touristy like Bulgaria would be my first choice. A friend of mine grew up there and he has told me a lot about it. The people are friendly, the winters are short, and the summers are warm. The Black Sea is on the East. The Balkan mountains run through it, and the Danube river to the north. Travel by train or car. Fruits and nuts grow wild. If you travel by car you can pull over anywhere along the roadside, throw down a blanket, have a picnic or just enjoy the pickins and each other.
