I now know that it is meant for us to watch for the deer but I actually thought at first it was where the deer were to cross the road. Wondered how they knew they should cross there. I know I was dumb.

YOu see, deer are very smart...LOL.. they study the roadways very well,, and find the spot on the road that they are most likely to get hit at... and that is what they do, those dumbies..

They are very smart I lived next to a reserve and no one could hunt there so the deer stood on that side of the road by the hundreds but the hunting area had none. ------ This thread is Archived ------

No you end up with a busted car, that is why they have proper crossing places for the deer to cross so we can stop for them.

Deer must have excellent vision to see the road signs. I'm guessing the ones that get hit probably couldn't read the "deer crossing" signs and probably needed glasses.
