BebeII: Actually Trish, that's exactly as I meant it-My best friend's name is Trisha Dwyer-say it quickly and the tounge tied nature of it comes through. I meant no disrespect to YOU.
I didnt even read it - I read Morgans post only opening the thread when I saw she had commented - I always read Morgans posts
RobbieM: Oh yes, your right, he works in the media, but then declared all his interests.
Funnily enough that came up last night when they were discussing events in parliament this week where MP's expenses and voting to declare other interests were all passed within votes this week.
George Galloway i might add voted for greater scrutiny and now all MP's will have to provide reciepts for EVERYTHING not just anything over £25 as was previously required.
I may not agree with all his politics, but i do believe he is one of the more sincere people within politics and he's open on a forum where you could challenge him every week.
He priorities calls as well, to new callers, anyone who disagrees with him and women!
So if your a woman who's never called him before and abroad with allegations to make you can bet your butt he's give you all the time in the world to make those type of allegations, before you were shall we say be made to eat your words on live radio.
I think the guy is great, a real genuine politician, a contradiction in terms for the 'normal' power/money hungry politico's.....
Ive been following the proceedings in parliament this week too Robbie, its about time they did something about those damned expenses - something close to a third of our council tax goes to top up the pensions of civil servants too - its a blummin farce

BebeII: Um, I have heard him speak more times than I care to remember, and he's a supporter of many repressive regimes. You may think that makes him a hero, but I don't. He'll do the usually leftie dance, and claim that Hamas is only terroristic because of Israel, ignoring all eveidence to the contrary.
I certainly don't subscribe to the idea that you believe i look up to him in the same fashion as some do in your country to Obama and view him as the messiah.
I have my own brain, i'm also aware of how things get done in the real world....so character assassination of people who don't agree with you is common practice in some circles......in fact its policy and has been for some time.
Unfortunately, you look a complete a**hole when portraying disinformation as fact when you cant back up your claims in front of the Senate as they tried to do and it backfired in rather a large way.
It's easy to malign people, but when they step up and confront frankly lies, well i'll always watch as frankly i know you cant trust elected politicians as far as you throw them for the most part.
Email George your claims, and i'd be very interested to hear his reply to you, as you could bet he would respond to you.

Oh we might have started the ball rolling this week for real scrutiny of our elected officials.
This week could be pivotal to how our government deals with accountability, and what with the Ghurka disgrace this week, it seems cross party based decency has surfaced for the first time i can remember in a very long time.
If this continues and they leave politics aside we might actually get politicians to actually act in the interests of the public.
Just as well, as i think the public have just about no faith left in elected officials, regardless of what party there in.

So in that respect, it was a great week.
Yep, I agree, something had to give, but that in itself leaves me suspicious

I mentioned in an earlier post about Christopher Hitchen's website containing the pertinent information. As for Galloway confronting "lies", you should watch his debate with Hitchen's on Galloways support of repressive regimes around the world. Galloway may be right on certain issues here and there but overall, he's an odious character.

Do you know Christopher Hitchens? Or his Brother, believe me that man isn't firing on all cylinders and has no credibility whatsoever, but that said i've seen them debate on a show called Question Time.
Hitchen's and his brother are on there on a regular basis, like people like DR David Starky, and their agenda's are so way out the audience well almost groan.
Trust me, Hitchens or his brother aren't the ones to quote for a reference on practically anything!
Email Galloway, really i bet he'll reply to you and i'd genuinely be interest in his reply.

The articles on the site are from reports in the British and American press and from government sources, so it isn't about personal animosity between GG and CH. My last point still stands.

I can't get it at all. I tried 3 times now and it will not go through. I will have to google it I guess. The comments from other people are scary!
