Obama entered office and decided to spend unprecedented TRILLIONS (Remember when $1 billion seemed like a lot of money?) in hopes of Big Brother spending its way out of a severe recession. As has been the case 100% of the time prior, no country in the history of man has ever spent its way out of recession or depression. Nada. (By the way, the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office has stated that Obama's multi trillion dollar "stimulus" plan will have little long-term economic benefit.)
Then to further show Obama's naive & stupid economic/fiscal nature, he will be placing a heavy tax on THE biggest source of jobs in the US: GROWING small businesses (basically any business that tries to spread its proverbial wings, then is slammed with a heavy tax when they approach $250,000, further hurting their ability to compete in a global economy).
But it doesn't end there; America is the most giving country on earth, donating hundreds of billions of dollars each year to charities--just from PRIVATE donations. Now Obama will be TAXING CHARITABLE GIVING!! Gee, I'm sure that won't hurt the many thousands of US-based charities who have come to rely on tax-free charitable donations over the years.
When people start seeing the MASSIVE price increases (i.e hyperinflation) at their local stores, after the collective head-scratching at why prices will be soaring through the roof, you'll be able to thank Barack "Change is what you won't have in your pocket" Obama.
I do disagree with President Obama's economic policies.
Having said that and to be fair, he's not actually taxing charitable giving, he proposed a change in the tax deduction for charitable giving (a drop from 35 percent to 28 percent) for charitable donations from those making over 250K per year. This will more than likely result in a reduction of charitable contributions made from this group of people and will in the end harm the charities who would normally receive these donations. I believe an overall reduction has been quoted at between 3 & 4 Billion per year.

More of that "change"...
I can only imagine the slurs that will be directed toward the OP. If you disagree w/Obama...you're an evil person.
Indyfella: Meanwhile, I'm listening to Janet Napolitano, (Homeland Security). The Czar that doesn't like Canada because the 9/11 hijackers came from there.
She's a laughing stock...
Well to start off.........CZAR...doesn't that imply (being a dictator) NAH, not from this administration...
But don't forget, that Janet also basically beleives, that if you have ever served in the military, or are anti- gay marraige, or use you right to freedom of speech in promoting consevative values, then you are a terrorist, and have to be kept surpressed...
I don't agree or disagree. Does that make me morally suspect?
Only the extremists are able to judge the evil of another person based on a text message. I infer that you'd like to imply that my lack of judgment in this case is based on an inferred unwillingness to be considered evil.
I don't mind being the bad guy. I just don't like it when people infer my badness from one post of what is most likely rhetoric. Hence my growing distaste for these obama threads. People spout rhetoric like it was gospel.
I got your gospel. I know nothing. And you know even less than nothing because you cant admit your own ignorance. (not directed at you personally indy. )

For a Country to try to tax itself into Prosperity,is like a Man standing in a Bucket trying to lift himself by the Handle! Sir Winston Churchill
The economy is starting to stabilize right now, I suggest not listening to the critics and pay attention to the facts.... Obama is on the right track....

Oops. That was meant as a reply to Indy's post about dissent being considered evil. Forgot the quote button.
We can't leave out the banking queen.. Barnie (Mr president you don't yell fire in a burning building) Frank who repeatedly claimed that Freddie and Fannie were still very sound and were not in trouble. They ignored 17 warnings from the Bush admin that something needed to be done before it collapsed. I read somewhere that his boyfriend was the head of Freddie Mack.
bosmike: Is Obama clueless on economic/fiscal policy?
The real question should be, are you the clueless one because you fail to realize that this topic could have been included in numerous other anti-Obama threads. Was there really a need to make another one except to draw attention to yourself?

so it's ok that there are numerous pro Obama threads but because we don't contain what we have to say to one anto Obama thread it's wrong. oh don't worry we're probably on a government watch list already. it scares me how many people will ignore the facts in this country

I could care less if their are anti-Obama threads. It's just as sickening to see the hundreds of pro-Obama threads (when there is room in the others for them to be consolidated ). So don't act like I'm picking on those that are anti-Obama. Just get's sickening to no end to see a dozen of each at any given time. Wouldn't be so bad, but both Pro & Anti-Obama threads spout the same rhetoric and attract the same groups of people on both sides of the issue spouting the same crap over & over.

Just to add, wouldn't be so bad if either side could find a new talking point.
