i had a boss once that was a real jerk.
the kind that isn't real bright, but thinks everyone around him is dumb.
always tried to drive us hard, and keep our hours short.
this was always easily remedied. i woul simply suggest the most efficient
way to do the job. and, i'm NOT kidding, he would make a one
hour job take four hours in his blatant effort to do anything but something
even remotely close to your idea. it was absurd.

i know this is childish, but one morning i couldn't help myself.

i told him to read something aloud, until he got the joke.
he read it aloud in front of all of us, over and over.
what he was saying was clear as a bell.
i don't know if he was concentrating too hard, or what,
but hreally did not get it. this is a true story, i swear.
