Ali Hewson abseiling (87)

i'm sure its around mid day it's in conjunction with the sea to the city race. you could always call the charity

yeh, i heard about this ( briefly in fairness to the an=mount o fmea=dia they could have gotten) - SOMEONE TAKE A CAMERA!!! with video ability!! then we can all see - and you may make a few bucks - for the charity. 'sfunny, i met her once many eons ago, my mate got us into the kitchen nightclub,but we had to stay in vip area ( nice youmay think but so boring, we wanted todance - we were 20 yrs) .. anywaym, bono asked my sis for a light, i didnt recognise him- small guy wants a light... , then she appeared, really pissed off, and kicked us out of nightclub- wouldnt even let us stay in the gen area.. anywayz,, go for it ali!

I think there are other things going on tomorrow but the actual abseiling wouldnt take that long, would it? My god I post crap when I have drink in me. I can remember posting on this thread, but I can't remember posting at the time I'm meant to have posted.
The spelling got a bit lost there but I was trying to give out about bono. I also meant attention seeking. I apologise to Ali though. She's not necessarily a muppet, just that husband of hers.

Attention seeking is not all bad if used in conjunction with charities. That is why celebrities of all kinds are used as spokespeople. They are generally all attention seeking and that is used to the advantge of their charity. The more attention the celeb gets the more attention the charity gets and hopefully, the more money too.

It would be a bit easier to have sympathy for them if they didn't move their business interests to other countries to reduce their tax liability. I can't say what I really think of Bono, because I'd probably get the people who run the site sued!

?I dont care how much attention they get as long as some good is done in their name. That doesnt mean that they are wonderful and good people or anything like that and they can be greedy and mean spirited just like everybody else.
the truth is probably in the middle. Not saints and not awful. I met Ali H. She seems a nice well meaning woman. Who knows?

Maybe Bono moved his business interests to other countries because he didn't like the fact that his tax money was being spent on such things like E-voting machines that were never used ! But thats another story !
