Have a Job during this economy glitch and my wage gets cut a tad, what would you do about a company that takes a bit outta your wage for themselves?

Welcome to the new world where you can be crapped on!

I suggest finding another job, and that's not so easy at the moment.

Are you positive the cut is for "themselves" and not the company?

Look for something else but I agree with Robbie people are going to take advantage of their workers in these times they know that all over the globe people are fearful of losing their jobs. Hopefully Karma will come back and bite them in the hiney.

Some people will never get it. The almighty dollar or whatever currency is it and the workers are assests or liabilities depending on how business is going. So look out for yourself.

How do you know their taxes didn't rise, their mortgage rate rose, their company vehicle (if one) did not need repairs, etc.?

All I am saying is I don't know all the facts. Just you saying they are personally pocketing your wage decrease. Quite an accusation, if you ask me, if proven untrue.

Good points you also don't know if your bosses are losing money and just trying to keep afloat if that's the case it's a different scenario than just pocketing someones wages out of greed. Along with those who are capitalizing on the opportunity to unload lots of workers especially those they might have to pay out health benefits on are those who are barely holding onto the business. I should have asked more questions before jumping to conclusions myself.thumbs up

small business are getting hit hard now seen many go belly up but a job is still better than no job now, give them benefit of the doubt keep looking because if you left, there would be 100 people looking to replace you and would do it for less money

i am fortunate, i work for myself, manage fairly well, and i decide if i want to take a cut in fees, nobody else. And the Op (caspatch) is correct, with any job, there are many out there who would replace you for less money.

Did you not read the question?

My place of employment has a union. Whether his place of employment has one or not doesn't effect me in the least.

If it was beyond the power of a union I'd have to leave.
