RE: Revising Memory

If I knew then what I know now I never would have hurried.

RE: Pet Peeves

And many other parts of the world...thumbs up

RE: Pet Peeves

I hate when people leave the water tap running when they are not using it. very mad

Another thing I can't stand is when people gripe about things in their life they have the power to change.

RE: why lie about your age

I never lie about my age...problem is, people don't believe me when I tell them the truth. I'll say it again... I'M 45 not 35!!!!

I have no reason to lie. innocent

RE: Ladies......

Nah... rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Can you define yourself?

Continuously changing. My definition changes with each new discovery.

RE: I am tired of being patient..so can I just stop?

Impatience is worse. Hold on a little longer. You'll get your just desserts.

RE: They walk among us.

I know where you are coming from! I used to work as a CSR for a major American wireless communications provider. I worked out of Halifax, NS. Most americans I've spoken with believe Nova Scotia is an island somewhere in the South Pacific!

Imagine now if we could see England from Halifax...maybe with a telescope or a pair of high tech binoculars! rolling on the floor laughing

You have not met America like I have met America.

Funny, I've never had a customer rep job where I've spoken to Canadians. laugh

RE: Would you leave your love for your children?

Have not heard about the woman who, a few years back, put her three kids in a car then pushed the car into a lake because her "man" didn't want kids? It was all over the news.

Tragic and sad, but it happens.

RE: What is the true meaning of grace

"Forgive our debts, AS we forgive our debtors"

Forgiveness is the ultimate act of grace.

RE: lazy people

Now who's making excuses.

RE: lazy people

Instead of complaining about it, why don't you give them the benefit of the doubt.
reach out to them by making them aware of their potential and creating positions within your company or an affiliate company...even if they are volunteer positions...that are designed to re-introduce them into the workforce, offering these people some hope. As an executive, you must be in a position to authorize this. Who knows... it may also contribute to your own personal growth, helping you to become a better person with more understanding. Right now, you lack tolerance.

RE: Getting caught in the rain

Just around the corner from home. That happened to me yesterday. The rain we had turned quickly into thunderstorms. Glad I made it home before the lightning struck. Literally!

RE: I BET NONE OF YOU KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY MAKE LOVE TO SOMEBODY

Gilly, You have started a lot of threads, but you do not commit to them fully. You ask the questions, but give no input. For every question you've saked, we have yet to read an answer from you regarding your own experiences. Tell us, if none of us knows how to properly make love, give us some feedback on how you DO know! If you can't do that, you have no business making such insinuations. IMPO, I don't think there is one "proper" way to make love. It is different for each individual.

RE: lazy people

If you didn't want the responsibility, why did you accept it?
You made a choice, deal with it.

RE: How long does it take you to form a committed relationship?

I don't believe there is any set time, at least not 4 me. I take it one day at a time and don't rush.

RE: Do you believe in the death penalty?

Do I believe in the death penalty? I know it exists in many parts of the world, therefore I believe in its existence. Do I AGREE with the death penalty? Absolutely not!

What is the death penalty but authorized murder? A crime for a crime. Where is the justice? Who really benefits? If the death penalty works, then why is Charles Manson still alive?

RE: If McCain had won and the Repuiblicans had the majority..

JMHO...I don't believe Americans, whether politicians or not, are too keen on change of any kind. I say this because during my lifetime, every president elect...not counting the ones assassinated for trying to initiate change...Has remained in office for two terms, (8 years)...but only because after the second term a NEW person must be elected. Look at the havoc GWB created early on in his first term, yet he was re-elected for a second term. confused

This shows either a lack of interest in immediate change or laziness on behalf of American voters.

RE: guess who s back

Sorry to hear that Boban. The back is nothing to fool with.
Take care of that first.
Some things come upon us so suddenly. My landlords have become like my adopted family. Two days ago one of them had an attack at work that put him completely off balance, slurred his speech and blurred his vision. We took him to hospital thinking he had a stroke, but after two days of testing we were told he is stricken with MS. (Multiple Sclerosis) He is only 40 yrs old. It makes one want to take a second look at our lifestyles and habits.

Get well soon and keep up the courage.

RE: Did you know that the emissions from cars are deadly to humans.

I told my doctor I'll quit smoking the day he walks to work. laugh

Once I was smoking in a public place and some guy walks up to me, points to a nearby sign and says; "Can't you read?" I say; "Sure!, it says 'No smoking within 16 ft of entrance."

He sneers and says; "Well?"

I said; "The entrance is way over there, that's the exit!" I ain't breakin' no laws!...

"signs, signs, everywhere a sign
blockin' out the scenery
breakin' my mind
Do this, don't do that
Can't you read the sign?".....

RE: Why do women almost always..........

It's nice to have someone to look up to. Being 5'11 myself, I prefer someone who is at least my height, someone I can see 'eye to eye' with.

RE: what do you fear most?

I am extremely claustrophobic, I fear elevators, cat scan machines, MRI's and anything that doesn't allow me at least ten feet of breathing space.

I also fear losing my mind.

RE: What's The Weather Like In Your Area?

Hazy, hot and humid. Looks like the sun may come out later.

RE: Should I question everything I say or should I not question everything I say... Or should I???

A virus indeed. You gave it to me!laugh

Now that I've had a bout with the virus, it's not really that bad. It creates a fun and interesting atmosphere here on CS. No conflicts here...or are there??

cheers

RE: What do you do before you go to bed and make you have a good sleep?

Find the most boring book with the catchiest title and read it. Before long you'll be sawing logs like a professional.

RE: 5 perfect things!

I'll add two more to Canada's list...

...Bacon

Spectacular views of the Aurora Borealis, (northern lights).

RE: Beauty?

My 17 yr old niece is an aspiring trans gender. She knew from the start she was 'different'. She has a girlfriend who has no clue that my niece is female. She hides it very well. I'd Hate to be there when the truth be known. uh oh

RE: Survival....

I can actually see something like this happening. I don't think it will occur at 'gunpoint', but it will begin with the schools.
When I was going to school, it wasn't mandatory that all children of the age of ten receive a hepititus B shot, but I had no choice but to consent to my daughter getting a hepititus B shot in three monthly increments when she was ten, which were given by the school. This is how they operate. The parents had no choice in the matter. very mad
