Personally, I do care, but everyone makes mistakes. It's not the end of the world.

No, I am having a personality makeover on my hols.

I am under strict instructions not to be sarcastic, raise eyebrows and spout flippancy, my son has spoken.

I was not allowed to tell his girlfriend's best friend that people with fat ankles should not wear ankle strap shoes.

Spoils all my fun he does.

Morning Sir.

I seldom ignore letters I get, only when it’s insulting as I don’t want to start a quarrel with people I don’t know. But spelling is significant for me.

I treat those who care to use punctuation and spelling-check in different way than those who don’t care. For many English isn’t a native language, and a lot of information (tone of voice, body language and so on) gets lost when we communicate in writing, so you have to put some efforts in your letter to make yourself understood at least approximately.

If you are going to write a post about spelling you should definitely spell 'definitely' correctly - don't you think? tongue

Hi guyswave

Hello Tulefel,

I must say I noticed that from you and I am impressed. I also admire your wit.

When we're just fooling around having a bit of fun, it's okay. And it does not bother me at all when it's between and among friends.

But I must admit it is significant to me, too, when it comes to more serious matters, like individual-to-individual communications - reading someone's personal e-mail, for example, or a person's post on a serious subject matter. It shows to me a great deal about a person's level of knowledge. So, it does matter to me, whether I'll take the person seriously or not.

I do my best to spell as good as I can but then I would be the last to say that I spell correctly all the time. Thank God for the red text underlining in this one.
I remember a story about a author that said that his book was without grammatical errors and spelling faults BUT if anybody knows Murphy's Law. well in the introduction there of course was a grammatical error. What it comes down to is this saying "those that live in glass houses should not throw stones"
rolling on the floor laughing

uh oh
now did I make any spelling mistakes?? I don't tink so. whew
