Some have met here, yes.
When evaluating these types of sites, it's good to google the site name, and see how much traffic is on the site. It's also good to do a local search limited only by age. It's a good way to see how big of a pool you're working with, and can help keep expectations reasonable.

we also have tried other dating sites to meet someone but in vain. you right that all the dating sites are alike, this because (in my opinion) there is a luck of trust and confidence. but we will not lose hope we will try again and again. because living alone is so hard.
