Ashes: WOW! Sounds like Heaven to me! I cannot complain, Punta del Este is an International Resort, I have the Atlantic Ocean surrounding me, many many Foreigners come to live here because of it´s safety, in all senses, I may say....I just look outside my Window to see two small Islands, a Marina with Yachts, Incredible Sunsets....can´t complain ever
That also sounds awesome, Ashes. I'd love to live near the ocean again. I grew up near the Atlantic coast in NH, and I miss coastal living. I'd have loved to have lived closer, like right on the ocean.
druidess6308: Sounds awesome, Riz. Nothing really special about mine, except for the awesome trails nearby which I enjoy walking. But it's peaceful in this little town, and safe. Just your average family-oriented American town.
I never got to Pennsylvania on my travels, but I hope that when next I visit the US I do get a chance, I know its a beautiful area and as you say so wonderful places to go hiking, I also want to visit the blue ridge mountains, they sound wonderful

It is right on the Southern Ocean & also has the River Murray run into the lower lake system. So I get to experience the idylic riverfront lifestyle & a surfing beach aswell. It isnt a big town (approx 4000), very cosmopolitan ,lots of cafes, etc & amazing wildlife.
I live in a quiet and beautiful little town, with a population of just over 400,with the majority being mostly children due to the long, cold winter months .
It's a simple life, and the land we're surrounded by is absolutely breathtaking!Whenever I step out my front door,I'm at one with nature, animals everywhere.
We have a small grotto that was built over 75 years ago and in it there's a statue of Mary,it's very calming to sit there and reflect. We have various historical sites in and around our community, one's that we're presently conserving.
We're having our annual jamboree in August where people come from other communities for the weekend; we gather, visit with family and friends,we have friendly competitions ie;Arctic sports, best man, best woman competitions and a karaoke night for all to enjoy.
I love where I live and proud of where I come from.

Wow The population sounds nice and tolerable nice that the cold months are long so the children can play in the snow to be one with nature sounds ideal I would love to sit in the 75 year old grotto and just absorb the history and learn about how to help conserve precious elements. Just walking around the place and getting a feel for its architecture, the lay of the land surrounding it, and the local color of it's population sounds dreamy!
It sounds like your community knows how to have a good time. August must be a celebration that requires much preparation and hard work for all the returning locals and visitors. I am a little envious of all the wonderful things your community has to offer. Wish I could see it! I will ask God to bless your home, town, and family and to grace you with a joyous celebration in August.
i love the town i live in... It is smal and everyone knows everyone else. I feel it is a safe place to raise children and they have a lot of activities geared toward the children of my town.... We also have a ballon rally every year... it is neat and great fireworks.. It is the quintessential small New England town....
If you drive on the highway here you dont see our town on the board untill its too late.
We like it here that way.
Where I live is a secret and I like to keep it that way.
My place is even more "secret". I am in the "bush", no street, just a track...and trees a lot of trees...and stones...and foxes (they had my chickens)and birds.

Does that mean that you will have indoor plumbing as well in the coming months?
